Any news?
I thought there was supposed to be news regarding the team’s name and colours in early January? Anyone know when we might here something?
Anyone hear any rumours about what, if any teams, will be playing in Toronto this summer (post WC). I read a rumour on another board that Inter Milan, Chelsea, Man Utd, and Real Madrid are coming this summer - but that sounds too 'pie in the sky' to be believable.
I wouldn’t be surprised if MLSE tries to get a big team to come to Toronto and tie it’s visit into announcements about the MLS team. Seems to me it would be a good marketing tool. It’s been a few years since a real big club’s been, so it could create quite a buzz. Plus Toronto should be an attractive market compared to some places in the states (e.g., Toronto’s huge crowds for the Champions World games here, contrasted with the modest crowd Chelsea drew in Boston last summer).
