At least in Madden NFL 06. ;)
Led by veteran QB Goodsport (San Jose State), the San Francisco 49ers became the first team to go undefeated in the regular season since the 1972 Miami Dolphins, the former winning a 16-game season while the latter won in a pre-1978 14-game season. The Niners then defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-9 in the Divisional Playoff Game at Monster Park in San Francisco.
The Conference Championships are now set:
NFC Championship:
Green Bay Packers (12-4-0) at San Francisco 49ers (16-0-0), featuring two future Hall of Fame QB's in Brett Favre and Goodsport.
AFC Championship:
New York Jets (11-5-0) at Indianapolis Colts (12-4-0), in a battle between the AFC's top two QB's in Chad Pennington and Peyton Manning.
Here's to hoping that the Niners will need to pack up their playing equipment for Detroit. :D

The San Francisco 49ers are the first six-time Super Bowl winner in NFL history! http://home.pacbell.net/torvic1/partyface.gif
The post-game celebration was pretty cool: Goodsport and Kevan Barlow dumped the Gatorade on first-year head coach Mike Nolan, and then Goodsport and Arnaz Battle briefly carried Nolan on their shoulders while Nolan held the Vince Lombardi Trophy (though aren't offensive or defensive linemen usually the ones that carry the coach on their shoulders?). :D
Next up: the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii. There seems to be a lot of Niners chosen for the NFC team this year, including Goodsport (though he's slated to be the backup to Brett Favre, meaning that he'll most likely play most or all of the second half).

for the love of god NOOO.
Born and raised in the great state of Colorado, so you can take it from there.
but my comment had nothing to do with which football team I'm a fan of.

Then you're simply uneasy that a team went undefeated for an entire season for the first time since 1972?

Brett Favre did indeed start at QB for the NFC team in the first half, after which Goodsport took over in the second half.
The entire NFC starting offensive line in the first half were 49ers, as was TE Eric Johnson and running back Kevan Barlow, with WR Arnaz Battle as the starting kick and punt returner. 49ers WR Eric Lloyd and FB Fred Beasley joined Goodsport in the second half. There were several 49ers defensive starters as well - I guess that's what happens when a team goes 19-0-0 overall. ;)
And the coaching staffs for both teams wore Hawaiian shirts for the game just like they do in real life.
Now that the postseason is officially over, it's on to dealing with the offseason issues. Besides having to find a way to keep the team hungry for a repeat, the Niners also have to find a way to re-sign starting QB Goodsport, who otherwise becomes a free-agent on March 3rd. Should they go with Goodsport for at least a few more years, or should they release him and instead go with the younger Alex Smith (Goodsport turned 34 this last November)?

They unceremoniously send their record-setting star player packing, who ironically ends up across the bay, making all fans of Team Quiche turn the other cheek and realize their true inner undying love for Uncle Al Davis, King of All Football. Rumors swell about Goodsport's real age.

Don't really want a "Good" name mentioned in the same breath as Romo, do we?

No wonder why pro athletes generally make big money while they can - their careers are pretty much over by their 30's (unless injuries force them out even earlier).

I was simply mentioning the recent prominent players who went from the 49ers to the Raiders (or did Romo go to the Broncos first? ). :)
I guess I also should've included Charlie Garner on that list.
