Ah ******** great isn't it. After our awful cup defeat we have to go to a ground where we haven't won in about 18 years and play the European champions. I'm still pissed and mad and if Gardner, Kelly are still at the back i'm expecting a defeat. I'm still drinking btw. Mido needs to be back to stand any chance. hopeing for a backlash is wishful think seeing they've only conceaded 4 goals at home all season though we did it after the Grimsby defeat but the game after that was Fulham at home, this now Liverpool at Anfield. I'm still ********ed off btw
anyways call me negative or whatever but i'll have to go for a home win 2-0 :( :( :(
i'd be delighted with a draw
i'm sure most of you guys would be suprised if we got something from this
your thoughts?
p.s i'm still drinking btw
did i mention that?

and all of those 4 goals came against Chelsea, since then they haven't conceaded a goal at home since then. pretty impressive from there part. big hurdel to jump but Mido can cause them problems.

it's just good, clean living, colm. ;)
y'know, i've been as pessimistic about spurs as anyone for a long, long time. but it's finally occured to me that this is not another false dawn. i keep saying it - it's different now. this team is NOT crap. we've got some quality, so why not allow myself to act like it? if i'm honest, i'll be pleased with a draw. but, dammit, i'm tired of expecting the worst from a team that, frankly, deserves better than that from us.

well said pook -- I know there are no easy games in the Prem., but if there were, Liverpool away would be one of them -- only question is whether we keep a clean sheet ;)
0-2 spurs stalteri with a brace
In all seriousness I am looking forward to this match -- should be a great match of football.

In 1995, no one on this Earth gave us a chance of beating Liverpool at Anfield in the F.A. Cup - we won 1-2 with Sheringham and Klinsmann scoring.
I again believe that we can win it 1-2 or at least come away with a well earned/deserved draw.
Our talisman, Mido, will be back for this game, so that in itself will give the players a boost.
PS. Rasiak must be shot.
Best Regards

Hopefully Mido, Lee and Davids will all be back for this game, those players are big improvements on Rasiak, Kelly and Brown.
Gardner is left as the main weak link, but thankfully none of Liverpool's strikers are particularly aggressive, which is where he has a real problem.
Lennon is looking very effective he gets the ball and I like Mido's aerial ability and our pace going forward.
A draw would be a quality result, a defeat would be a pity but still a long way to go in the season and this is one of the hardest remaining games.

Good point Sendo - This is one of the hardest games left this season along with the Chelsea one at The Bridge and the Goons at the Library.

It'll be fine.
Liverpool are on good form but lowly (if you can say that...) Luton exposed weaknesses, Lennon has to play this game as he'll really show them up.
I don't expect us to win, so anything other than that will be a pleasant surprise. I doubt anyone expects us to win. But same last year and it was a draw, and we drew with them at WHL earlier this season.
So who knows. Going for a 1-1 draw.

Benitez has Liverpool playing very well now. The Luton game was an abberation, nothing more. While I'd dearly love to get 3 points, it is unlikely. To me the most important thing is points, whether they come against Liverpool or West Brom doesn't really matter as much. Still, a draw would be a nice result as Liverpool's home form has been exemplary.
Their back line is succeptible to speed, which we have, but it may take a moment of brilliance to win this one. Judging by Keane's start in the FA Cup, I'm guessing Jol will be starting Defoe, whom I can definitely see scoring in this one. Now, wether we can stop anybody given our beleaguered team and our horrid defensive form last game ... that's a different question.

The first big test in the season was Old Trafford. The second big test is Anfield
I'd be over the moon with a draw.

If there is any decent striker that Anthony Gardener can actually defend, its going to be Peter Crouch. Granted, I don't expect a dominant performance from our string bean on their string bean, but he might make a good show of it actually. And Dawson is great in the air, which will also help against Pool.
Mido and Keane have been a great partnership, and with Lennon on, and hopefully at least Tainio, if not Davids, on the left, we could have a lot more forward thrust out of the midfield.
1-all draw.
And for the love of God, anybody but Kelly at left back. Just try someone else, even if its not Lee. There is no way that the replacement could be any worse than Kelly was after all.

Luckily Dawson never got booked against Leicester, we would be completely ********ed without him and Ledley.
Hopefully Davids and Lee will be back.
Prediction: I don't think we will win this one but we could get a draw.
I dont know why Kelly is getting all the blame, 3 of the back 4 where terrible yesterday.

...it's official...you fancy Steo.
I watched the entire match today. When you watch the match again (if you can bear it that is), look out for his movement. That's a tip my friend.

I cant watch it again, 3 of the back 4 were crap.
Depending on injuries the team i think that will play
------------Robbo
Stalteri-Dawson-Gardner-Lee
Lennon-Carrick-Davids-Jenas
-------Keane-Mido
Or possibly Tainio in for Lennon to make the midfield really solid.

You've got to be kidding. Stalteri was superb in the first half, and although not as good in the second, he was no liability.
It was Kelly who was woeful, cost us the first Leicester goal right before half time, made numerous defensive mistakes and totally fcked a great chance to make it 3-1. Worst individual performance I have seen this season, made Rasiak look like Ronaldo.

Superb maybe overdoing it abit, not even Dawson was superb. Wingers get past Stalteri too easily, Ryan Smith got past him easily with quick feet, thats RYAN SMITH not Cristiano Ronaldo and conceding that needless corner was just terrible and cost us.
I would actually put Tainio in for Lennon, Harry Kewell has been playing much better recently, and if he gets a one on one with Stalteri for alot of the game we are in trouble.

If Kelly is playing we are going to be in trouble, He was awful against Leicester and hasn't had many games which is a bad thing. I realy hope Jol gets us back on track for the league.
