I apologize in advance for this post. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

I am a new supporter of Chelsea, trying to build my love for the team. When I learned at late notice I would be in England in February I started looking for ways I could perhaps see them.

Feb. 25 shows Chelsea take on Portsmouth at Stanford Bridge and I would rather like to go. I have already asked one forum member and he told me signing up for a membership would be the best bet. Unfortunately it seems like you need to mail pictures over to England and wait for a member's card in the mail to order tickets. With the sale date fast approaching I fear I have no time. I contacted the club and received a similar response.

I was hoping perhaps there were some other Chelsea fans in Canada or anywhere else that might be able to help me in my search for tickets. Also, although I am trying to avoid it as much as possible, if I am left to the mercy of touts of match day or ticket brokers around London, does anyone have any idea what I would be paying?

Any advice or help with tickets would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I come from uganda, been a fan for 20 years. But am experiencing the same problem. What we are doing in uganda is setting up a fans club which we can use to buy a good number of tickets in the off season.

So far against teams like Porstmouth tickets have gone on general sale to the public. This means that you can buy a ticket directly from the club on the internet.

Keep an eye out on the club website.

As I told you in the PM, a Chelsea membership does have it's priveldges. I join every year and it's a great deal. As for the pics, as I told you, contact that woman, the overseas supporters club liason. She will take care of it. It's her job at the club. I've dealt with her before. She's great and will take care of you.

they sometimes have spare tickets for matches and might be able to help you out.

I just got a mass e-mail from CFC that memberships are still available. You shoud join, you get a cool dvd and some little goodies and then you can be sure to get a ticket if you go on the net right when they go on sale. Cheaper than a tout.
