I know a lot of guys here in the forum don't like Guille Franco, but he's now going to Europe, he will be in France and Spain, searching for a club, i hope is Villarreal, with Peregrini (his coach with San Lorenzo, when they were champions).

He left almost crying, saying goodbye to Monterrey and he told the press "Voy a dejar muy en alto a este hermoso pais, hoy que es Mexico".

So with all that say i'm supporting him to do great in Europe.

Yet another pointless thread. This should be merged into the Mexican League transfers thread or the Monterrey thread.

Awesome!, thanx dude!

I don't really think he was totally sincere. There was acting in there.
Haven't we always talked about the acting skills soccer players have??? Even Roberto Bolanos made fun of them throughout the years in his program.

He might have been sad but to the point of crying, well that's a bit too much,.... but possible...well who knows....

*grabs a kleenex to wipe tears away.*

He doesnt have to cry on national television to get called by Lavolpe lol, we all know that other than if he gets injured he's going to Germany, perhaps he's trying to part ways leaving a good image to the fans in case he might have to return to Monterrey someday who knows.

Call me naive but i think he was sincere.

If any player out of the MFL goes on to play well in Europe, it is a good thing. It will open doors for many MFL players, of which many will be Mexican, to do the same thing.
That in turn will lead to exposure of many more players in the MFL. I believe we've got pretty deep talent for the most part. More players get to play and be evaluated, how could that be bad?

Guille will probably end up at Villareal, since that's where his old coach Pellegrini from San Lorenzo is. And we all know that Mourinho from Chelsea is reuniting with Maniche from their days in Porto, so......

How come Aguirre doesn't think of some guys back in Mexico to bring to Spain at Osasuna? I think he took Carlos Ochoa back when he played with Pachuca but he barely even got to play.

As far as the whole Guille thing, I hope he does well since it looks bad if it happens like with Borgetti and another big player from Mexico's league shows up in Europe just to warm the bench.

While I agree that rdl's initial take is harsh, he doesn't have to show his pic.

Why do you have such a hard on over who shows their pic or not?
