We are now under the big company's IT system and on almost every page I get a pop-up asking if I want to run Active-X plug ins. There is no way to change it. It is very annoying. Of course it won't diminsh my web use!:D

You could always say, "Sure, I'll run Active-X, and therefore open my machine up to remote exploitation!"

Wow, where did you get that Steph, or better yet, did you make it yourself?

The weird thing is that on all pages that contain Active-X, the pop-up asks whether or not you want to run the programs. You can hit 'yes' for any of the pages, though I guess the policy is to say no. It is really annoying though to have the pop-up on most every singe page.

Yeah, the policy would most likely be to say no. I wonder if you can change your settings to not prompt that question, just to default to no Active-X. I assume you're using IE at the office?

EDIT: I just took a look, and it looks like it's done program by program. Yuck.

Dunno if this will work but you could try:

Tools | Internet Options | Security | Custom Level

Heading: "Active X Controls and Plug-ins"
Option: "Automatic prompting for Active X controls"

And choose "Disable"

?

That one is marked disable, but there are 4 others that have a Prompt tick. Not sure if I should switch them all to disable.

EDIT: Got it figured out. That was going to kill me with the pop-up prompt on every page! Now they are disabled and I'm safe and secure.:D

I'm good, but then, I'm not a BS member, so I'm not using the fancy interface.

The good news is you can do it with straight text, that button just automatically adds the tags for you.

without the .'s before img and /img...

Wow.. we've been playing an average of almost three goalkeepers a game, I can't believe we've let in so many.

Perhaps the thread title has had a chilling effect. I've noticed a shrinkage in the posts. ;)
