Don't knock it Matt. At least you get it. Over here we just get highlights of the days games in the evening

You want to trade seats tomorrow then? It's warm, they have good beer and Dan will be there.

While I find your claims that America has "good beer" laudable i was actually sold on the idea - right up until the last 4 words

Young's St George's Ale and Winter Warmer are on tap. As well as Guinness, and the Globe actually knows how to pour one.

Honestly mate, the ONLY thing our pubs lack are beer machines. Getting a hand pulled here is near impossible. Aside from that we do damned well here in Chicago.

i think the Map Room has a hand pump.

Gary said he is bugging the Globe to get one, but it is low on their list right now.

Tap? or Hand pumps?

Yeah it vexes me that i can't get a decent pint of guiness within a 4 mile radius of Highbury. I really should stop drinking it though. Im getting a bit of a beer belly but the rest of me remains bean-pole-esque. Quite disconcerting.

Yeah, I am sure they do. You can usually find one beer out of cask at various places here but I was in heaven over in England where each pub has 3 or 4. Goose Island has a beer on cask all the time. It is so much better that way.

Yeah Ale should be pumped. Still better that than weak-assed domestic lager. Budweiser. Or stay sober juice as we call it here :D

Guinness is actually low in calories comparatively.

I wish I'd known of your tastes while you were here. There are a couple of blinding Fuller's pubs hidden in the back streets round Victoria and Belgravia. Pucker.

Appreciate the thought...keep it in mind for next time ok?
By the time I saw you I'd had 2 consecutive hangovers and was doing my best to just sip down a lager.
Fuller's ESB is far and away my favourite though. Just not the same out of a bottle though.

ESP knocks me for six. Not really a session bitter. For a regular old piss-up im fond of London Pride, but I do really like Fuller's seasonal ales. Honeydew, Summer Ale, Red Fox and Jack Frost...

Steer clear of Old Mr Harry. is a dirty ale - wasnt keen. Maybe the name conjured up images and influenced me. Old Mr Harry = Dirtly Old Man = Dirty Ale.

Oh and I don't know if you have ever had Young's Waggledance. Damn that stuff ********s me up. Honey ale. Loopy juice more like it :D
