Time for a new Foquita thread

For real?

I did hear that Inter were interested in a forward due to injury to Recoba, and Martins on International duty.

Farfan with Recoba, Adriano, Martins, Cruz? No thanks.

Once Martins comes back from the Africa Cup thing and Recoba recovers, there will be no room.

Gazzetta dela Sport is the biggest and most reputable sports magazine in Italy. So Farfan going to Inter may be interesting, but I don't know if its a good thing for him. Sure, he will play for a big team and will become even more famous... but his playing-time will be severely limited... and of course that cannot be a good thing. Personally I would prefer if he goes to an upper midtable team in Spain or Italy, like Valencia, Roma, Deportivo La Coruna, etc. But then again, its time for him to move to a "big" team.

valencia would be good for him... he would have a lot of time there or villareal also

Inter is a perfect fit for Foca guys. I was reading the Inter forums a couple of weeks ago and this is what I got:

-Cruz is on his way out, they don't want him.

-Recoba is always injured and underperforming, they might be looking to get rid of him after 8 years there.

That leaves Adriano and Martins. Adriano isn't going anywhere and Martins IS NOT better than Farfan, I've seen him in many games. They play similar roles and while Martins is faster, Farfan's technique and shot accuracy is way better.

He can bench his ass easy. Inter is good.

- True

- True

- But Adriano and Martins are untouchables. If Inter played with three forwards/strikers, then ok fine. But those two will not move unless they get injured or something. Farfan cannot afford to go to a team and be on the bench. If that was the case he's better off at PSV where he plays every day and plays Champions Leagues and even wins league titles. It's time one of our strikers takes center stage at a big team, and at Inter, it wont happen. As far as Martins not being better than Farfan... well, both are different types of forwards, it would all depend on how the coach plays the team. Even so, if Farfan fit the coache's tactics, Martins already made a name for himself at Inter, it will be hard to replace him.

Just quick thought: I've noticed Farfan plays great in a three-forwards scheme... something you will never see in Italy, with their boring catennaccio.

Either he stays at PSV until next season or he moves to a bigger team.At Inter he will be given his chanceand prove hes better than Martins.Crus is on good for and WONT be leaving.

Adriano is Inter's Makaay, he'll only be benched if his foot falls off.

But Martins?? Hmmm, I don't think he's earned untouchable status yet. He's really not that great IMO and he gets benched in favor of Recoba often. Plus, Farfan's style fits Inter a little better. I've seen a couple of times when Martins couldn't return a little toquecito from Veron or Cambiasso cuz he prefers to take off and run like a jackass.
