Who's getting tickets? Predictions, Results, and Reasons

I only ordered tickets to the Ghana game? Am I off base (and I certainly may be) by assuming that a lot of people did NOT order tickets for the Ghana game, and instead chose the Italy and Chech?? Any thoughts?

My sense is that most people that chose less than 3 group games chose Italy first, Czek second and Ghana last.

People going to all 3 games obviously chose Ghana. But I think in general more people would choose European opponents than african.

Just a sense based on what Ive read here. I am sure there are some people (besides you) that chose Ghana over the others, but they are a , uh, minority.

I ordered tickets for all three. But I'm in a rather pesimistic mood and feel that I will be waite listed. But may still end up in Germany even with out tickets. If not, I will be working from home a lot this summer. ;)

I also ordered tickets for all three. ALthough, as it turns out, I am only going to be able to go to the first two games.

As it is, I think logic dictates that Italy will be the hardest to get. I would think most are like me--they are going to order tickets, and plan their trips around game they absolutely know are going to happen. This means ordering tickets for the first round. I doubt many people have enough time to take the entire two weeks off to attend all three games, so most, like me, will have to choose a week. Based on available airfare in conjunction with using my frequest flier miles, I picked the first two games, Czech and Italy. Others may pick the second week, Italy and Ghana. But the common game for either is Italy.

So, generally speaking, a lot of people ordered Czech, a lot ordered Ghana, but everyone ordered Italy.

When did you send your application in? Fax, fedex?

IIRC, my FedEx package arrived on the morning of the 13th. I think around 9:40ish. I tried to fax all day on Monday, but after falling for the diversionary tactics claiming that the USSF fax machine was down, I decided to overnight it.
