how are you going to be able to buy tix from a broker, when they are person specific??? maybe a silly question, but .....

A lot of tickets from brokers are corporate, and don't have names on them. Thats what Euroteam has told me.

Have you used Euroteam, or have any idea if they are trustworthy?

I am using them with my friends for the World Cup. 5 ticket packages. They said my order was confirmed and then they wrote me back and said the tkts were guaranteed. So far it seems legit, I guess I'll find out when FIFA prints the tkts.

Plenty of people are going. Including most of us here.
I definitely hope so. I tried for two hours to get my fax in , but no luck , so I sent it overnight fed ex , and it got there at 9:42 on the thirteenth. What do you think my chances are ? I'm pretty optimimstic , but there's a small part of me that says ill be just as unsuccessful as I was the last two times through FiFA.....

Mine went through at 12:25pm central time on 12/12. I didn't have to send a fax transmission, and I got a confirmation number 103-.

Me likey de chances.

I, like EL PROFESSOR, had to confirm my fax time with US Soccer as well. This leads me to believe also that there truly was an issue with the fax (whether it was a breakdown or jam or what, who knows for sure). I was allowed my fax time on the Fax Log I sent them, which was 4:13pm on 12-12. Unfortunately for me, that was actually 1 hour off the real time, since our fax machine at work is off an hour. Anyways, I was given a confirmation number of #20--.

Again, I am optimistic about the whole thing, but nonetheless, I am filling out my FIFA lottery ticket application as we speak! ;)

Thanks. I'll be calling them if...

Well keep in mind if I am successful through USSF I am selling two USA TST-3s at what I paid through Euroteam. I know others have expressed interest, but the more interest the less chance I have of eating my tickets.

Will you be, or have you considered, selling individual games? or just selling the TST package.

I'd only sell individual games if there is somebody else buying the remaining game(s). So if you bought Italy and Czech Republic I'd need somebody to buy Ghana before I sold all 3.

Got it, fair 'nuff.

Obviously you should have no problem selling! :D

Thank you Gry for your quick response.

That confirms my order with your company, but does that confirm that I WILL receive the tickets, and will not have to accept a refund?

What did you pay for them, if you don't mind my asking? (PM me if you wish)

I dont mind saying, since I am not looking to make a profit off US fans. 810 euros per package (each package included 3 first round games), and 30 euros shipping.

At the time of purchase the rate was 1 eur = $1.28 I'm pretty sure (Now it is about 1.18).

I will have two of these packages for sale = two people to go to all 3 first round matches.

But let's make sure I get the USSF first :)

So my friend and I...we put in for three first round matches....just sayin'
;)

I'm optimistic though about getting tickets thru USSF since we were in the 7am Tuesday FedEx batch.

As am I--cautiously optimistic. My dad thinks I'm nuts.

Starting this thread raised our collective anxiety, now you're stroking us! I just hope you're correct. I estimate that the core travelling support of the USMNT is about 5k, based on France & Korea, which will expand a bit for Germany. Some fans will score tix from other sources, and the USSoccer process was limited, in effect, to insiders, so there should be a large number of satisfied applicants.

Ahhh. The beautiful ebbs and flows of life...

I'm not sure that starting this thread increased everyone's anxiety. I for one feel better having heard others who are as optimistic about the prospects as I.

I feel a bit better, more for being reassured that there are others out there in the same predicament as myself. Being a tue am fedex person, I'm also fairly optimistic. Mostly because of alleged comments from Amy during the course of this process.

Mainly the "crazy" comment in reference to us on BigSoccer. Well, you know what they say: "Share the passion"

Well, I don't feel better. I had a Dec. 13th 9:43 FedEx delivery that got me a 38xx confirmation number. Before this I had felt OK, but now I see confirmation numbers like 10xx and 19xx. (Think of all the orderers who don't post here) This suggests a true first come, first served number assignment. Even if USSoccer's full allotment is going to fans, I'm outta luck. I'm not gonna kill myself, but it is a burn after taking the 12th off from work, just to be totally frustrated. USS, at first, did not recognize my membership in USSOCCERFAN, and by the time they did, it was 1:45 pm. Then after traking down each passport number for each person that will (I hope) be with me, I spend 2:45 pm until 6:00 standing at the fax machine in Kinko's. The last FedEx truck left at 6:10 and a decision had to be made. Had I known that I could have gone back at say, 11:45 pm and gotten through, I guess I would have. But the "rules" suggested that it went 12 to 5 only. In any event, I'm more pessimestic. I don't think many people were ordering (1)ticket each. If I do get tickets, I'm pretty sure I will be the last name called.

Well I was on that same fedex batch , but my confirmation number is 86**. SO who knows, I've already been unsuccessful through FIFA twice.....
