He's your basic #9. Was great at River Plate and the Argentina youth teams, then traded all that in for Russia... He messed up big time, and now looks to make up for it. You could be getting two different players here.

Benficafan3,
He didn't trade anything in for Russia. He was transferred to Spartak Moscow and never really got the chance to settle in. Heck, in the 2006 season, he didn't figure in the coache's plans. He was sitting on the bench most of the time. Plus, I'm sure he had a difficult time adapting to the language and the way they play in Russia. I'm confident he can turn his career around with this move.

I fail to see how he didn't trade anything in. He no longer possesed his ability while at Spartak nor did he ever play much of a figure in the Argentina NT. He most likely went for the money. Let's see what he can do at Bordeaux

As Fedotov stated, part of the blame lies with Spartak. They didn't use him correctly. I'm confident with this move, he'll prove all of his doubters wrong.

Defeated by Troyes this saturday, 1-0.
Cavenaghi showed good things, I hope he will become the striker we are waiting for.

Bordeaux : Blanc a-t-il convaincu Candela ? (27/06/2007)
I've been trying to follow what they've been doing this offseason and there havent been any major departures(inevietable with French teams)so far but I did read that Faubert wants to join Rangers and all that I can say is WHY ??? A young up and coming French international player should not want to leave Bordeaux for Scotland. He's a moron in my eyes. Darchville was different ok, he's 31, out of contract and expendable.

Perhaps Julien doesn't like wine? I have to agree, though, that it makes no sense for Faubert to join Rangers, except if his idea of enjoyment is, in 8 out of 9 games, running by defenders slow enough that he can wait a couple of seconds before they catch up.

Well it is official, Faubert joined West Ham this morning. Could anybody on here tell me what kind of player my team has bought. Do people think he has the attributes to succeed in the Premiership and is does he represent value for money at nearly £6million.

He's from French Guyana so he's great.
