actually he didn't say he didn't intend to give 100%, he said he wouldn't have a good season, suggesting his subconcious motivation wouldn't be there.! for someone who said he's had a bad year he's doing OK!
And it adds a silver lining to a dark cloud that's come over french football: yes, i'm talking ofthe addition of pierre ménès to the studio crew of canal football club. for those lucky enough not to know who he is, imagine a 350 lb. "commentator" who never got to picked in the playground and is getting his revenge badmouthing everyone who can do what he has never been able to: play, coach... or analyze. i'd never seen him on TV, only read the garbage he writes, and wasn't surprised to find out that his disdain evidently includes the audience since his locution is so bad you miss half he's saying, thank god for small blessings.
anyway, true to form he had this to say about marouane recently:
"Chamakh n'y est vraiment plus, mais alors plus du tout".
"chamakh doesn't care any more, i mean not at all."
:p

Chamakh is being a prick but he said he wanted to leave a long time ago so really Bordeaux should have sold him at the beginning of the transfer window and signed someone better. Bordeaux screwed this one up and now they'll get nothing for him at the end of the year plus he'll have a bad year because he's unhappy.

hey, chamakh has proven much loyalty to girondins on and off the field, and he'd made it clear he wanted to leave even before the end of last season. it was even an added motivation for himself and perhaps his teammates for him to go out as champion. bordeaux got reasonable offers for him, and if lolo nixed the sunderland move for 14M because he didn't want marouane to belittle himself playing to avoid relegation in a tyneside sh**hole, the same about the arsenal offer of 9; triaud's decisions are unfathomable. signing someone "better" wouldn't have been easy but losing him on a free will be worse.

Chamakh is a professional, he will give it his all for Bordeaux this year. He could still go in the winter if Bordeaux fails to advance from the group stages in the Champions League.

If Mourane wants to play in some tyneside shithole Laurent should have let him. He should be looking out for the club, and 14 million is not chump change, it could have really helped strenghten the side. Now they're likely going to get nothing. Blanc's intentions are admirable to an extent, but ultimately stupid. It works out for OL though, keep up the good work lol.

They looked really good against Nice though. I still dont know if they are as good as they were last year.

You're facing Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. In order you play at Juventus, host Maccabi Haifa, host Bayern Munich, at Bayern Munich, host Juventus, and at Maccabi Haifa.

if we transfer our good ligue 1 form to CL, we can do it, but i think for this club its matter of priority, whether to win the domestic league or get a short at CL and risking losing both CL and ligue 1

Im wondering how they will stop all of Bayren's offensive weapons such as Ribery, Robben, Klose, Gomez, etc. I guess Bayren's weakness is their defense and if Blanc does this 4-5-1 crap then forget it they have no chance.

As long as Bordeaux don't let Bayern walk over them like they did in the CL last season, I think they'll be fine. Obviously they aren't the favorites to progress, but like OM's group, if one of the other teams has a run of bad luck, Bordeaux can take advantage of it.

Obviously they aren't the favorites to progress.they aren't obvious favorites to get through but as porto and monaco proved (admittedly years ago) you don't need a high profile roster to win even at this level. their great start this season can be no surprise when you see how consistent and solid they've been for several years now. to me they are very likely the best team in their group, at least equal with juve and certainly better than bayern.
i'm sure they feel the same about the CL as cavenaghi feels about their trip to the velo tomorrow: "would i settle for a draw? no! bordeaux has the means to win. everywhere. at marseilles, it's the three points we're after".

What the F8ck was that, was that not a goal.

it was a goal... but it was disallowed due to a foul by ciani on taiwo. sure he wasn't involved in the play, but his roughing up of taiwo was blatant, excessive... and only 15 seconds earlier monsieur gautier had told him that he had his eye on him and to cut it out.
triaud and blanc need to call the young man into the office and explain to him: our budget is 91M€, and last year we had 24 victories. your faute grave cost us one such. 91,000,000 divided by 24 is 3.92M€ and such will be your fine. you can start working it off today by cleaning all the boots and sweeping up the locker room.

boy would i hate to have you as my manager lol. Come on this guy was playing in the amateurs not too long ago, this was probably the biggest match of his life and he did decent.

Now that the transfer window is closed, I think Bayren Munich are the favorites in the group to progress and Bordeaux will battle Juve for 2nd.

Yes they have too many weapons for Bordeaux to stop. They kept Toni and have 4 good veteran options at forward while your OL only have 2.

nice away effort yesterday and could have actually come away with the victory.
I like how they went forward and didn't do the typical away style of sitting back to defend.
Excuse my ignorance as I try to learn more about Bordeaux, are they usually an offensive style football club even in league action?

have become so under lolo blanc. not so much a damn the torpedoes approach as a really tight-knit group that has the confidence to play the ball. they score lots of goals.
