Anyone got any info as to how to detect a fake copa?

All I can think of is make sure it says Made In Germany.
adidas make some as well that are Made In Indonesia but I always go the German made ones.
Thats about all I know. I've never seen any fake copas.

It'd be really hard to make a decent copy of the copa, and it'd pretty much be a waste of time and money, I mean you would have to have a molding for the studs/sole that had the FIFA logo and stuff on it, then you also have to have a tage that was similar to copa tags (which prolly wouldn't be too hard to get/make). Then you would have to have a material that looks like K-Leather, which the only thing that you could get would be claf skin (at least the only cheap priced thing). You'd have to do the stitching in the same patterns etc etc. It would just be easier to make some fake synthetics of like vapors or Total 90's.
But to answer your question, just borrow a friends or if you own another pair, hold both pairs up and compare everything...

Just looking at those pics, the quallity of the leather should be a dead giveaway.

Exactly!
Its not even leather, its like cheap synthetic.
Kiongsm, are you asking because you saw a pair at the night market or somewhere in Malaysia? Thats where I bought mine. :)

There two types of Copa Mundials...one of inferior quality type made in Indonesia, and another boot made in Germany of superior quality.
Nowadays, all Copa Mundials are made in Germany.
The fake pair I have in that picture, is a cheap fake, its unauthentic, and is basically rubbish.
The other pair there is German made Copas.
