Can't believe that no one is talking about this.

Great episode last night.

There's no doubt that there's going to be major repercussions for Vic going and burning the sh!t out of the mexican drug dealer.

I wonder what is going to happen with Vic's wife going to a PI to investigate him. I wonder if this blows his stuff wide open.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

After the Sopranos, has the best acting on television.

But it's getting more difficult to watch. All the characters are totally amoral and self-centered (with the exception of the black lady detective). I'm tired of not having anybody to root for.

Is this the best show on TV right now? If this season is as good as last year (so far I'm not sure), then it is by a mile.
Hey Gringo you're not rooting for Dutch? he's my favorite character on there.

I'm definitely a fan, although I'm not quite as riveted by this season as I was the last one. Shane's going to explode.

I think shane will be killed this year by vic. What are they gonna do with Julian though, is he going to go back to being gay? Also do you think the shooting of the muslim is setting up a plot for a later show? Also, I wouldn't be suprised if vic tries to make a deal with the Mexican offering him protection.

Dutch is a self-absorbed, sexually dysfunctional, whiney little brown noser.

I hope he gets one in the gut and dies a long, painful death.

I thought it was funny when the auditor thought he was asking her out.

Well, that was sure one way to deal with an out of control wannabe drug kingpin...ouch. I presume not much will come out of Vic's attack on Armandillo, because the dealer would have to admit what led up to those circumstances. Best for him to just disappear back to Mexico for a while.

Agreed about Dutch, though. Not many TV characters, especially on shows I like, make me cringe. That guy is such a loser. Hilarious how he can't even get a parking ticket fixed, but his precinct-mate Mackey has a crime empire.

Funny what a year of critical acclaim and hype will do for a show. About this time last year, I started a Shield thread in this forum and it only got one reply: "Oh, great. Yet another cop show. ".

Armandillo will come after Vic. He's too interesting of a character to disappear.

I agree, it's only a matter of time before the mexican comes after vic, maybe that's what the next episode and vic protecting his ex partner is about.

You guys are probably right, but we couldn't tell from the coming attractions. (All we could tell is that Vic apparently knows Apollo Creed.) It's typical on shows like this that certain bad guys disappear for a while, then resurface at an inopportune moment for the protagonist.

I agree with this. But still, a solid, well-done show.

Very good show, but not "Sopranos" good. Dutch, is too lame for this show, and every episode has way too many close calls when it comes to Vic getting found out.

On a "very special episode" of the Shield. I think this show just jumped the shark.

Huh. I liked this one the best out of the three this season. Dutch getting his ass kicked, for one. Claudette reining in her zealousness of going after Mackie when the City Council chick offers to help. The Vic-Shane stuff resolved itself a bit too quickly for my taste.

"Inside, I'm a sad clown." - Vic Mackie

Nice ref to The Sopranos. Let's hear it for heroes of dubious moral compass!

Decent episode tonight. Definitely down in quality from the first season at this point, though.
