Good news, got 3 games to prepare for the world cup and against teams who will be similar in style to the teams we'll play in the group stages. Lets hope Sven makes the most of them,

Fingers crossed that Wembly is finished then.

I'll probably go to the Jamaica Match, if I can get Tickets.

i think the uruguay game was a good idea , the other two don't make sense to me....

we should be practicing against stronger sides that hungary and jamaica, i think they should be practicing for the knock out stages , the group play looks like a formality.

Makes sense with Trini and Paraguay in our group, to play these teams...

Yes Uruguay and Jamaica are understandable, but I'm not sure about the value of playing Hungary - I think we'd be much better off playing a 3rd World team for the competitive edge they would undoubtedly provide - Scotland or Turkey would have done for me :)

yeah i understand, but do they really need to prepare for the trinidad game??

we could have done with playing sterner competition, like a non qualified team, i.e senegal, cameroon, turkey.

but jamaica....... and imagine if they beat us

(scotland a third world country - hee hee -- funny -- )

None of these seem to be very "challenging" teams (although with Sven anything can be challenging). Maybe should've gone for a better European team to prepare for Sweden.

Although Uruguay is excellent preparation for Paraguay and even though game against Jamaica will probably be a bit of a joke but it wouldn't be too different from the game against T&T!

They were the first non british team to beat England at Wembley.

From an aussie point of view....a very HAPPY aussie point of view, if you shut down recoba then you shut down uruguay's attacking system, worked for hiddink and us...

It's nice to have this friendly from a historical point of view, but as a run up to the World Cup, it's a total waste!

The Hungarian Football is in utter disarray.

From the Budapest Sun:

Football Lost in Turmoil and Tragedy
HUNGARY is drifting aimlessly towards footballing oblivion without a national team coach or a presidium to lead the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSz), following the dismissal of president Imre Bozóky. ...
