Yes, Bamberg is great. Which brewery?
Brauerei Fässla, the one with the dwarf rolling the keg. (My girlfriend picked the brewery based on the dwarf alone.)
As it stands now, we'll be there for three nights. Happy to treat you to one or more glasses of the local stuff!

Frankfurt is also going to be having that huge party on the river with floating big screens and all. Its basically an American city if I ever saw one.
Except I suppose American cities dont have enormous soccer ads on the sides of buildings... :(

For those interested in train times and connections.. go to www.db.de that is the Deutshe Bahn (German Railroad). It comes up in German, but you can change it to English. Trains run on time and are dependable...although during the WC most likely best thing to do is reserve a ticket in advance.

I've never been aware of the connotation of "really special" = "gay". If anything I would have said retarded/developmentally challenged.
Frankfurt is not especially gay, although there is one section that seems to be preoccupied with Oscar Wilde.
I was kidding around about the "really special" thing although I would consider it to be somewhat true. I would say retarded is more "special" as opposed to "really special" but anyway...

My high school soccer team was bussed daily from school to our practice facility on a SHORT bus! Imagine the ribbing we took, especially since most of the time we played like retards.
