Morning guys!

Oh yeah, it is nice and speedy! Spent most of the night uploading music.

How about some fancy coffee to start the day!

Stupid person story of the day:

Attempt to free car leads to careening mayhem

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (UPI) -- A Paw Paw, Mich., man's idea to free his car mired in mud went slightly awry when the driverless vehicle careened across a field at 100 mph.

Calhoun County Sheriff's Lt. James McDonagh told WWMT-TV, Kalamazoo, the 29-year-old man tried to push his car out of the mud Wednesday but found it impossible without someone in the vehicle to pus the gas pedal.

So, he grabbed a toolbox from his trunk and put it on the gas pedal of his rear-wheel drive car. A couple of pushes later, the car popped out and sped off across a muddy field at speeds reaching 100 mph, McDonagh said.

The car even became airborne a couple times until it hit a tree.

The embarrassed driver was not ticketed.

Buenos dias, amigos!

Cam, make that two cocoas, please. It's not as cold here but those things do get me going, and seeing as some of us have work to do today... (BTW, congrats on the new box.)

Anyone else hear about that Indiana woman that attempted to CASH a forged $4M check... at a check cashing store!!! She actually thought she would walk away with $4 Mil? Unbelievable.

Red, were you dressed in black yesterday over the Sugar Bowl? Two of my Dawg friends who couldn't make the game actually turned it off after the first quarter! Hey, at least your team didn't quit!

So what's up, what it be, what's going down, what's happening, what it is?

When I dropped off my son at pre-school this morning this little girl comes up to me and says, "My dad's snowmobile got stuck in the mud."

HA! :D

Classic!

So, slow goings today, eh? BTW, has anyone followed up on that fatwa against football? Doesn't appear the Muslim community will essentially be turning off the World Cup next year, though it'd be pretty cool to see a player trying to opt out of a penalty charge by claiming religious exemption! :p

Cocoa not doing the trick for me this morning. Time for the dietician approach: Fruit and nuts.

Wonder if a Reses and Smoothie will count as the same...

No, we didn't quit............we just didn't show up for the first 20 minutes. Ouch. I think our boys thought kickoff was a half hour later.....at least that's how they played at first.

There's a nice article on Collegefootballnews.com concerning the turn around in the WVU season. I never, ever would've figured their O, all one dimensions of it, would be able to overpower the Dawg D. Not with all that time to prepare. Alas, it appears WVU is quite for real. Sorry it came at your boys expense, Yoss. But like I said, at least it was a noble effort and a great game. Definitely a fun BCS, like it or not.

The Mrs. and I have a new wine chiller. I'm sure it's the only one in Griffin and looks awfully funny in our tiny pad. Still, now there's no excuse for not harboring 20 bottles of reisling. Point being, my wife and I are not exactly vino experts, save for the whole "know what we like" thing. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

For white wines? Rieslings? For Rieslings, you can't go wrong with anything from the Mosel Valley, IMHO. And white Graves are da bomb, viticulturally speaking.

20 bottles of riesling? It is way too sweet for normal consumption IMO. I'm more of a red fan myself. I do like riesling with a cheese course, maybe a good Gruyere or mild blue. Also, it is great with spicy foods. Try it with a good spicy Thai curry. Mmmmmmm!! Try Covey Run Reisling from Washington state. It isn't too sweet and not too expensive.

so, i'm thinking of taking a trek out to Plumstead Commons and the Royal Woolwich Arsenal when I'm in London. not sure what is still there from 1886, but it would be cool to see where the stuff is.
