However, the hard and fast rule is no eating after 9 pm at all.
I have no trouble following that Sunday-Thursday. However, Fridays & Saturdays, often times, I'm out with friends somwhere that we don't even get around to eating until after 9.

I've been working on that as well. I've dropped 40 lbs since college, and I'm clocking in around 175-180 now. I also work out a few times a week (although that's reduced since the hotel gym blows) and quit snacking. I try to eat better, but still fall into bad habits sometimes. However, the hard and fast rule is no eating after 9 pm at all.
Eating is not so much the problem. If I quit drinking, I would be in great shape.

Lucky bastard.
I went from 195 to 165 in like 10 weeks by:
running 30 min a day 5 days a week
locking in my calorie total to just 1600/no more than 1700 calories a day
to do this I:
ate a nutragrain bar and a banana for breakfast
a 'healthy choice meal' for lunch
fruit snack in afternoon
and at that point you can eat just about anything you want for dinner.
that's what did it for me.

yeah, i only eat late if traffic sucks and I don't get home from work until 8ish.
I've started cutting back on how much I eat. I'll still eat crappy stuff, but I won't eat like a whole bag of cookies.

just eat half of everything you love. You get half the calories, and you can eat twice as much.

seriously that plan works.....you've just got to stick to it. It also helped that at the time I had the motivation of wanting to get back at a GF that had broken up w/ me...she came back  then I left her for NY :o

Of course not. Whatever we do, we must take care of our shoes. :)
Speaking of shoes, do you know if your brother got a hold of the Stand Up, Speak Up Nikes, and if so, what I owe him/you?

It's really weird. Back when I was with my ex, I used to let her pick the meals, so I never gave it much thought. However, she didn't have a weight issue, so she didn't really plan accordingly unless I said something. After we broke up, I figured it would be an opportunity to plan my meals etc. Instead, I found myself ordering out more than I ever had in the past. It was just too much effort to cook for one.
EDIT: Now that I've moved into a house with a pretty big kitchen, with tons of counter space, I think I'll be more inclined to try new recipies, etc.

I'm usually a granola bar in the morning, then a single item for lunch (in other words, I can get a burger, but no fries, since that's what kills you), then usually a good size dinner. I try to skip dessert, but I have a ton of candy here now, so I've been cheating a little. ;)

Thanks for remembering. 11 - 11.5 US should do the trick.

I know. When I worked at the steel company near Pittsburgh, we got trays of meat and cheese. The scent alone drove me nuts.
