Or Guam.
then we should know by now... Guam is 16 hrs ahead of us (MST). The earliest time zone in the World is the island of Apia or Pago Pago (3hrs ahead of the west coast!)
I bet the USSF sent a dude with a laptop overthere to makes us wait even longer!!

Yeah, I'm a lil' pissed over here in europe... I'll be headed to bed in a few hours, and prolly miss the deadline for the FIFA lottery. Still haven't heard a thing as to what's going on, if I'm wait listed or what from USSOCCER. I understand that demand may have been heavier than anticipated, but as a teacher, I always anticipate the "worst case" senario in every lesson I plan. USSOCCER couldn't have?? If I didn't get tix through the USSOCCER presale, I'd like at least to be able to have the one in a million chance at the FIFA lottery. This blows.

The only thing keeping me from going totally crazy is that if I don't get any tickets, I'll be relieved at having saved a few thousand bucks.

I agree it sucks, but unless you're planning to sleep for 27.5 hours you can go to bed now without having to worry about missing the FIFA deadline.

The ********ed up thing is, we can't even "vote with our wallets" and not give these clowns any more of their money until they get their act together. If we want US gear, tickets to US games, etc., we have no choice but to buy from them. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/images/icons/icon8.gif

The US Soccer Store on the USSF website sucks too....... It actually allows you to order things that are out of stock (then you get an email 2-3 weeks later from the USSF advising that the item is no longer available).

Does anyone actaully know what the deadline is? Is it European time? Is it the timezone that you happen to live in? Is it midnight of the 14th or the 15th?
If US SOCCER would just get their ********** together, i wouldn't even have to think about these things!!!!!!!!

535,000 orders for 4.5 million tickets – these are the provisional figures for the third sales period for 2006 FIFA World Cup™ tickets, which will come to an end at midnight CET on Sunday (15 January).
ok so I answered my own question, so we only have till 6pm Sunday here on the east coast of the states. So if anyone has to order from FIFA, please don't put it off to midnight. The deadline is European time.

More likely they forgot the password for the server that has all the results and have been trying to hack it all day... or even more likely, it was miscommunication on who had the "R" for sending out notices. On Tuesday they'll all be looking at each other in the staff meeting:
"So, how'd it go with sending out the notices... I guess the fans were pretty psyched to hear about their tickets and schedule their plans"
"Um, I thought you were going to do that..."
"No, I remember yelling back over my shoulder that you should do that before you left for the night."
"No, remember, I had tickets for that Wham! reunion concert downtown. You said you'd send them out.."
"Oh $%@&!"
"Don't worry, it's not like they can go shop for this stuff somewhere else."
"Right, so how was the concert?"

That must be why it's taking me so long to get my pizza delivered...I completely forgot about the NFL play-offs. Hell, with Washington playing right now (I'm in the DC area) I'll be lucky to get my pizza by the time the USSF sends out its emails.
Edited: Ah hell, it's now snowing outside now so I'm never gonna eat. Even though none of it is sticking yet the NoVa roads are probably gridlocked.
