Sorry for the confusion. I did not receive a yes/no response to my ticket application. My response was to something else. It just seems to me that is they are answering ticket related email on Sunday they are probably working OT to get orders processed. They called our house on Saturday because part of my roommate's application was missing. We had to re-fax it, and then they sent him another confirmation email. They said it wouldn't affect our place in line, which is tied to your original confirmation number. So yes, it does sound like they're putting in a lot of hours to get this all sorted out as soon as possible.

Just about had a heart attack now (Weds. 1-11-06, 11:40am ET). I just checked my email to see if any news from the USSF about my tix application.
There was a new email from U.S. Soccer ... my heart was pounding ... until I saw that it was a new announcement about the Feb. 19, U.S. vs. Guatemala match in Frisco, Texas.
Aww, s**t, I'll just have to keep checking my email here from work every frickin' hour.

Dear U.S. Soccer Fan,
Thank you for your support and patience thus far in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Ticket application process through U.S. Soccer. Demand has far exceeded the number of available tickets after a massive response from ussoccerfan.com members across the United States and throughout the world. We appreciate and understand the level of anticipation inherent in this ticketing process and would like to take this opportunity to advise you on the status of the overall process, as well as provide the time frame for notification of your application’s status.
Phase I – Application Submission and Receipt Confirmation
2006 FIFA World Cup Ticket Applications were accepted by U.S. Soccer beginning Monday, December 12, 2005 up until Wednesday, January 4, 2006. All fans who submitted application forms were sent an e-mail confirming its receipt.
Phase II – Order Form Review and Processing
After confirming receipt of an application, they were reviewed to ensure all required information was included and correct. Once passing the review, the information included on each valid application was entered into our database.
Phase III – Allocation of Tickets and Notification (Current Phase)
Applications are currently being assigned tickets and over the next few days, you will receive one of two possible e-mails.
1 - The first possible e-mail is a confirmation of the fulfillment of your application. The games, number of tickets, and price categories awarded to you will be provided. At the time you receive the e-mail your credit/debit card will have been charged for the amount of tickets allocated to you.
2 - The second possible e-mail is a notification that you are on the U.S. Soccer Priority Waiting List. (Please note: U.S. Soccer has petitioned FIFA for an additional allocation of tickets and should any become available, tickets will be offered to those with highest priority on this list).
ALL FANS WILL BE NOTIFIED ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 14. This is to enable those who do not receive tickets to participate in the third stage of the FIFA sale on January 15.
Phase IV – Confirmation of Personal and Ticket Holder Information
Complete Ticket Holder information will be e-mailed to those who have been allocated tickets for verification before Monday, January 30, 2006.
Phase V – Ticket Delivery
Tickets (for the First Round) and Match-Specific Vouchers (for the Round of 16 and Beyond) will be delivered via UPS (or another secured delivery method) in May when we receive them from FIFA.
Once again, we appreciate your patience throughout this process. We have provided an updated FAQ webpage which answers many of the questions you may have once you receive you’re application’s status over the next couple of days. If you have further questions, e-mail us at tickets@ussoccer.org.

I almost had a heart attack when I began to read that email!! Shouldn't it have been sent out two weeks ago!!! Also, they told me that the conf. number is randomly spit out by the computer and means nothing in terms of place in line--not sure if that's true though.

I agree. Not sure why this wasn't sent out 2 or three weeks ago...a tleast BEFORE they missed their first deadline. Thank god for Big Soccer's boards so people could spread the word about what the USSF was saying ebcause they sure weren't communicating it publicly.
