6 pages of detail...many faxes and mailed applications -- I can see why this will take some time.

Would have been much easier to have an online form setup on ussoccerfan.com. Not only would the processing of been faster, but much less manual error in translating our perhaps-not-so-legible writing into the FIFA system.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but did other countries have online forms for their soccer federation tix?

Not to be a punk, but
1) it shouldn't matter if the application was 37 pages long. THEY were the ones sending out, so THEY should have known what to expect
2) Did you hand write your application? I thought that was a definite no-no

Dont discount globalization! South Africa might not seem that different 4 years from now.

So what you're saing is that we should fax in our applications now? :D

I take number 2 back, the more I think about it all I can remember is it saying everything had to be capital letters.

Yeah cause I fill out the first page, then had to go re-write it in all caps. But I hand wrote it .

Where was it indicated that handwriting the application was prohibited? I reviewed the instruction download and it didn't say anything there about that. Have you guys heard otherwise somewhere else??

My mistake (I think) . . . I see that you retracted that point form your previous post . . .

The tension is palpable. I actually have had two dreams about getting the confirmation email.

I need help.

In the form of tickets.

Well, the non-reserved tickets go on sale tomorrow. If we see anything for sale on the site tomorrow, that will mean we all got tickets, right?

Right?

One of the earlier posts quoted an email from the USSF that ruled out a public sale.

Key quote from the section Mike linked:

SPECIAL NOTE: Ticket orders for fans that participated in the private sale are being processed and applicants will be notified on or before January 14 as to their status. This will enable those applicants who do not receive tickets to participate in the third stage of the FIFA World Cup Ticket sale on line at fifaworldcup.com. For those fans taking part in the ussoccerfan.com pre-sale that will not be receiving tickets from U.S. Soccer’s ticket allotment, they will be placed on the priority waiting list based on when their order was submitted.

Highlighting is mine. Good luck, everyone.

Now, let's see if they can follow through on this promise. I wonder if they have someon reading Big Soccer or if they jsut got that many complaints about this ridiculous situation?

My conf. no. was 20###. :( At least there's still a chance I'll be getting conditional tickets, though I don't think any of the games I earmarked will be USA matches, as it turns out.

Then you should be getting ready to enter the FIFA lottery that ends on January 15th.

Our federations "promise" to give us at least one day's notice of our success or failure in getting tickets from them before the last day to enter the FIFA ticket lottery does not fill me with confidence.

I received an email reply from US Soccer on Sunday so it looks as though they are working a little OT in order to get the orders processed in time.

You are the first BS post I have seen saying they have a response.

Sorry for the confusion. I did not receive a yes/no response to my ticket application. My response was to something else. It just seems to me that is they are answering ticket related email on Sunday they are probably working OT to get orders processed.

OK I will stop shaking like a little puppy from anticipation.
