This is a very smart move from Jose, Joe will come back and play even better now.
If not come play for Spurs Joe.

By 'out' he means 'out of the first team', i.e dropped. He's not threatening Cole with the sack. That would be ridiculous.

Sacked for being a bit greedy in an otherwise good performance, I didn't realise Mourinho was that strict!

He's just trying to make a point. He wants Cole to remain effective rather than returning to being a show pony.

But he was effective. Jose needs to be careful he doesn't go to far or Cole will just think he's picking on him.

He's not effective when he wasted a perfect scoring chance by trying to show off some fancy footwork. You probably didn't even watch the game and have no idea what Jose was talking bout. But like the poster above me said, the threatened to remove him from the starting 11... not the entire squad.

What a tit. Passing to Crespo (who should of scored) was a mistake, but how on earth was it showing fancy footwork?
Now never bother or question me again!

Given what Mourinho has done with Cole, I'll trust him.

This is one little extra point of the benefits of Abramovich. Mourinho can threaten star players for such little things! Imagine Fergie saying something like that to the press about Rooney. Or imagine if Pires+Henry did their "Cruyff PK" while playing for Chelsea.
