I was just wondering what you guys do to maintain your K-Leather Boots and keep them in good shape?

Thanks.

If they ever get wet, stuff your boots with newspaper...that way, when it dries, the water doesn't take the oils out of the boot.

-Rub the boots with appropriately coloured shoe polish.
-Rub leather balsalm and leather food in oftenly. :)

Make sure to take the newspaper out after an hour or so. You want the water to go into the paper, not go into the paper and then go back into the leather.

What I do:
- First I wash the leather with warm water if it's dirty (if it's not, like after field turf for example, then i skip this step)
- When the leather dries out slightly, I apply lots of colourless dubbin.
- When the leather becomes completely dry, I either apply dubbin again (if the shoe is not black) or a black shoe polish in case with my Legends.

Nothing personal r&wa, but that doesn't logically make sense. The newspaper doesn't have magical properties that allow the oils to stay in the leather. The oils are still going to leach out–the newspaper absorbing the water will help wick the moisture out faster, but rest assured the oils are coming out with the water.

If you take care of your boots, there's no reason why a pair can't last you several seasons, provided your foot isn't still growing…

Yea, I wasn't sure about it either, but I read it somewhere that if water comes out of leather the other way, the leather stays softer. :o

it depends if my pulse are super muddy i run them under the sink and lightly scrub them with a toothbrush and then i get a sponge and wash the inside of them like dishes so they dont smell and it works. after they dry i put on clear leather food and let them set for like a day
