If its not a wind up (which it very well could be as our young friend hasn't made any other posts) it's a bastard of a question.
It would have to be in the last 10 years as people just didn't move around as much before. I thought of ex players becoming managers like Toshack and Hodgson but journeymen don't go to all the big clubs, they just play/manage one large club then move on to smaller clubs with ambitions.
My closest is Anelka with 3.

My guess would be an ex-player, tv commentator if that constitutes "taking part".

:D
Sorry, I fanned the flames there.
It's a wind-up. There is no one who matches those club derbies. Saw it on a mailing list about a month back, everyone was going nuts over the "taken part" bit, including me, until the original poster owned up.
When I saw it again, I couldn't resist ....

(for our American friends- Ron Atkinson) He was talking about the "Borussia derby",while we all know that Borussia is a team name like City or United!! Munchen Gladbach & Dortmund are completely seperate cities so couldn't possibly be a "derby" Hands up who's going to the Wanderers derby! See,know your geography & you won't get drawn in by teasers like this!!

Oh you are a clever chappie aren't you. However, it may surprise you to hear that not all derbies involve clubs from one city. For example the Galician Derby involves Depor and Celta who hail from Coruna and Vigo which are about 30 miles apart. Also the Barca - Real game is often referred to as the Spanish derby. Tell you what, why don't you go and have a look at a German map and tell me far apart Mönchengladbach and Dortmund are from eachother. Not a million miles away are they.
So yes, you are right that it isn't known as the Borussia derby but the question didn't specifically say that. I just assumed that they were two teams that had a close rivalry.

Someones chucked their dummy from their pram!! I was only having a laugh,mate...you want to be carefull you don't do yourself a mischief! Without going into the old question of what is a "derby" I think you can safely say that it is traditionally a match between two local teams.Would you say that utd/Liverpool is a derby,or utd/Arsenal? As for Barca/Real Madrid,I've heard this called a derby only in recent years...so do we now call any big game a derby? I know that on our local radio station they insist on calling any match between North West teams "NW derbies",but surely that devalues the status & excitement of a real derby match! I'd have thought that you,as an Evertonian, would have had a similar view as I do.At least the Americans on here can go & watch the utd/Juventus derby this year!!

lol. I'm not getting stroppy, just pulling you off you high horse for saying "I wouldn't fall for such an easy question" or such. I thought it was a wind-up but enjoy such trivialities.
As for the umlaut I just cut and pasted but there is an ascii key combination for it I think. Use the Alt key with some numbers. Like æ É ÿ ú
