I like Mendes but we dont have a need for him.

Mendes is a very good player. I would love to see him getting on the team more. I feel sorry for the guy.

But where would he play?
We've lost 3 league games all season, there isn't anything he can add that no one else does.
It is a shame. But Davids is better, Carrick is better and Jenas is better. So the consequence is that he has to go, or sit on the bench.

Thats kind of my point. He is a lot better than Brown and he has gotten in the last 4 games.

Mendes is better technically than Brown, but we have players like Carrick, Jenas and Davids who are are similar but Brown gives a different option.
Brown is ideal to have come on for the last 20 minutes of the game when players are tired because he will run allday.

Exactly.
Mendes is decent, but just does not have anything remarkable about him. Will be best all round for him to be shipped off, as long as the club gets a reasonable fee.

i prefer brown for that exact reason. and celtic on fire you can have him but stay away from keane ;)

The guy has been a solid professional. We all know he's a starter but Jol had to see out his signings from the off-season before he let him go. Now it's time to part ways and thank him for his contribution. I wish him well, but we don't need him and he needs to play.
