I had to laugh at this remark. LMAO. "White man no set foot on Uganda soil...Uganda, still king... give Ecuador voodo rape"
Yep, I think it is safe to say that Suarez should not be stubborn and use our regular players. I'm sorry, Suarez keep dealing with Mediocre Players. He should and pick up a "chess for Dummies book" cause his stragedy is a bit on the risky side. Salas, lara, Valencia need serious training and have a nutritienist to aid on their diet and Espinoza needs a serious moral booster. He should hire Auginara as a coach to train the young players. There is so much to be done. These up and coming friendly games are needed and our good players need the Experience of confronting them. This is not the time to experiment being that are getting our asses kicked. This is a crucial time and should be considered as “study time”.
We are in good form make no mistake and I am positive that Ecuador will show you a different face in Germany. Suarez is human and is entitled to make mistakes but he still is a intellectual and performs well as a leader. I’m not worried…I am not worried at all

Odd, this is my third "encounter" with Uganda in less than 24 hours: History Channel doc on Idi Amin (one scary man) and a great featurette on a Boston College football player who is from Uganda, and whose grandfather was tortured and killed by Amin. The latter was shown during a college bowl game yesterday.
World Cup pundits have been writing that Ecuador peaked too soon, in 2004. The question is whether the team can recover in time for Germany and especially the game against Costa Rica, which I see as the key to advancing to the second round.

LMAO I get the point. Does not matter who is the good player, it matters whether or not the communication is there. Mendez, Delgado, Ayovi and Tenorio knows how to tlak to eachother. Ther rest need a tune-up that's all. I must admit that Their air game is terrible!

Of course Ecuador was not going to shine in this mini tournament, they had fvking Castillo,Lucho Caicedo and Palacios on the starting line up,these azzholes should not even been in the bench. If you guys followed and have read all of my boards, you would know what I"m talking about. All these ********ing Ecuadicks think we have a decent league, but in reality we suck. Our stinky league is boring and mediocre I've been try to get it thru their ********ing thick skulls, but they just don't want to hear it.We lost to ********ing Uganda,I never knew there was a country by that name.I wonder who calls the players to NT,because I'm pretty sure it is not LFS,maybe the dick heads from la ecuafutbol, those currupt motha********ers. I don't mean to be racial, but we need more players from la costa, ellos son mas arrecho's y berrachos. Those de la sierra son **********'s.

Yes, your kind of right. But it won't belong for them to come up with talent like the "mutantes"and "extraterestres".What gets me upset is that when the ecua ballers play among themselves in the ecua league. They wanna kill each other, but in a NT when they go play outside Ecuador they are cmplete **********'s.Se dejan sorprender de cualguer hijo de ********.

I told you guys, we need Kaviedes badly! he was the key in our offence! if we had better fowards with him, like Tin, we would have killed this tournament.
we are not going to win with guys like Calle, De Jesus, Soledispa as a leftback!??? caicedo lucho, castillo, palacios and the rest of those newbies! it is good for them to get experience, but if they are going to embarrass us, they should just stay home.
we really missed DLC, Hurtado, Mendez and Tin in these games. Valencia and La Sombra also in a lesser degree, but you get my point.
the sooner Salas recovers from his injury, the better.

I still can't believe we lost to Uganda, the team that lost to Egypt 2-0, thats just embarassing and nothing else to say there is no reason we should lose even if it's a C team, I have my doubts about these players, THEY HAVE NO HEART!!

Playing teams form a continent which Ecuador rarely ever plays against, playing said teams in their continent, and not using the A team. A loss still shouldn't happen, but dont get so worked up. These results can be a little good for the team.

this really worried me cuz these player are goin to b the future of ecuador, n they lose to a team like that
i see the list of players that went, and in there club team they play mad good, i though we were it was goin to b a 3 or 4-0 no matter who they put in front of us.
suarez need to work with the player that got us to were we are.

anyway i somehow knew ecuador would lose to uganda.half the team sucks dvck

and guagua is dissapointing me recently. he plays well for nacional but always plays s#!+ for the NT. To me it seems Kaviedes, Palacios and Saritama inpressed. Borja seemed alright as well. i dont understand why Urrutia is being over looked by the likes of fatty and Castillo. we needed Tenorio this game. why didnt he play? DLC should be here as he is not playing for Aston Villa. tin should be here too but as somene sauid before, this will tell Suarez who NOT to use.
by the who was the captain?

i would have to imagine the strategy the coach had planned for this tournament, because only he carries the playbook. he was certainly experimenting with new players and using different tactics. i hope his notes discovered good players and that he has new plays that may work in the WC.
this is not an excuse for the poor play displayed by the NT. just a way to look at things in a positive light. ;)

Guagua is a player who plays with players that actually know how to be a team. El nacional plays as a team. You give him Lara, DLC, Mendez, Tenorio, Ayovi and Ambrossi...You will see a diffrence....a big diffrence. Caicedo.....?!!!! Why the fvk is he even part of the NT? Wha the hell is Suarez thinking. yeah he is big but he is so slow! Borja on the other hand is improving so much, still, he is a secondary player, but by far one of the best we have as back up. Saratima seems to be a promosing striker the way I see it but he still needs not to hog the ball. I don't think he is aware of his surroundings when he plays.
Anyway, don't getdiscouraged by all means, we are Ecuador and trust me, we will turn heads in Europe.

You are being real ignorant about football, if you were like some of us who have been following other international championships across the world and not only the european game then you will realize that some countries are not as bad as you depict them.
True it was a shock that Ecuador was beaten by Uganda but not Egypt and Senegal besides i don`t think Ecuador took that LG tournament serious any way so no one should really judge thier world cup chances basing on that performance. Like other fans said, it is only a learning experience.
Back to African football, i`m one of those fans who really at least follows the African game from some of thier Caf champions lucrative league especially when it involves teams from Morroco, Tunisia, Ghana, Nigeria of course, Egypt, South Africa name them.. and then the Nations cup and some other classic past matches.
For your information Uganda reached the final of the 1978 Nations cup losing to Ghana, you can look into the archives and watch that game and you will see that they had talented players and it is true even today. I have watched Nations cup championships in the 90s and Tunisia 94 remains a classic tournament won by Nigeria but the point here is Uganda has been narrowly at times missing out on qualification. Take a look at that 94 tounament where they finished second to the might super eagles team led by the likes of Yekini, Amokachi, Amuneke, Samson Siasia, Eguaven, Rufai, Nwanu chidi, recall the 1994 world cup to better remember how menacing this team was as it nearly knocked out Roberto Baggio`s Italy.
So it is not that Uganda is un known , to the ignorant ones who are new to football and only follow the elite european leagues yes the African game is not known but to any one who cherishes talent it is not. Do you watch the Argentine league, you better be, Ibrahim Sekagya plays for Arsenal and i recall at one of the highlights show he scored a wining goal against River Plate. Uganda also has players who play professional in the elite South African League, not so glamorous as the european league but it is a gateway for young emerging african talents to europe.
Most African countries have talented players but they lack the funding and sponsorship to have strong leagues and market such players to european leagues. I watch so many documentaries and shows about African football and this provides me with indepth information about talents before they even get to the european scene. It is just the love of the game and being passionate. subscribe to not only world soccer magazine, four four two magazine, uefa mag, Fotbal Italia mag but also the CAF edition whi documents African football and you will enjoy it.
You should watch the Egypt 2006 nations cup to better see the emerging talents from Africa. Oh plus such east african countries like Uganda, Kenya, even Rwanda that shocked most observers by going to the last Nations cup, have faired well against the best from Africa. Kenya also i recall went to the last Nations cup and they have some players in the Belgium league and others leagues in europe.
My point is that leave out statements like this "Those people don't even have food", "the Jungle and all that white man crap" This is football, sports and politics don`t mix. No personal attacks to other developing nations, just enjoy the game.
Personally i`ve always enjoyed watched African countries at the world cup and it only shows that football will only keep growing to even the third or second world countries. You gotta love the sport buddy.
Ecuador may be were not as motivated as the likes of Egypt, Senegal and Uganda during that tournament but i believe Ecuador will be very competitive and tough to match up with come Germany 06. Best of luck and see you guys then.

excellent post!
this man makes good points. this tournament was perhaps more important for Ecuador to experiment with new talent, and for the other teams, who are not in the WC, to turn some heads.
I also think it is true that African futbol is exciting and they produce some fine talent. unfortunatley, as you mentioned, the local leagues don't have the power and sophistication of the Euro leagues. that is also where South America suffers, but to a lesser degree.
are you from Uganda? if so, I want to apologize for some of the comments that went out of hand, and congratulate your team for emerging victorious.
thanks again for the kind words.

No problem, i`m not from Uganda, i just feel that football brings such great passion and friendship from all walks of the world that it should only unite us than divide us. Besides i enjoy watching global football shows that showcase some of the best emerging talents from say Africa, Asia and other continents. Canal + and other satellite servers do a great job in telecasting football outside power houses Europe and South America. The J-League (Japan) is another exciting league that i`ve been following for a long time and now days there are some south American talents in that league.
In the end it all comes down to how passionate fans are to the game, i know i`m not the only one who gets tired of watching european leagues only year in and out.
