The best rightbacks in the world are still Cafu and Zannetti. They wont last beyond the next World Cup. I do not see any good ones coming up.
Cicinho is not so bad. But where are the good rightbacks?

Maybe Lahm can become a good one, but right now he plays left back altough he has a better right foot.
De Jong is also a great talent.

Puyol was a good right back, but he's much better in the center.

For awhile, Hinkal was touted as the next big rightback, but he seemed to have disappeared. He is still good, but he was not to become the next "Cafu" or "Thuram".

Gary Neville is not the greatest player but he has been one of the most consistant in the EPL for a while IMO.

He was quite good at Confed-Cup. But then...yeah..he simply disappeared and only showed bad performances when he played.

Steve Finnan is very underrated. He is a consistent performer in a back line that doesn't concede goals.

Dusan Basta will be good in a few years.

u did forget the best one Willy Sagnol, Cafu is to old, Cicinho unproven, Hinkel is done, Javier Zanetti is a great player but he had a bad injury.
Paulo Ferreira from Chelsea is also a good right back.

Maicon, Cicinho, Daniel, Miguel, Paolo Ferreira, Trabelsi, Kromkamp, Perea (CB now), De la Cruz, Ramos (was a rb), Mancini (can be a rb).

cafu and zanetti? Sagnol is better than both of them....
And yes, finnan is very underrated, he has been really consistent in the pasttwo season and has grown into a world class player. He will soon become as solid as Hypia and Carra, along with Riise...best backline in the world.

You can add Nelson to that list of Benfica, Milan, Inter, Monaco, and Bayern are all wanting him.

And speaking of Liverpool they have just bolstered their backlines with the signing of Kromkamp from Villareal.

There arent so many outstanding right backs anymore. And right about now Sagnol is the best closely followed by Zanetti who's still on top of his game. Cafue has slipped the past season and the two players mentioned above have surpassed him. Gary Neville has been the best rb in the EPL for three to four seasons now, he's struggling with form right now after his injury.

Yeah as long as Chelsea stop playing with defenders.

WingBack positions are usually the thinnest in the world because it is a very tough positon to play.
