please feel free to vote for WWCD, Columbus, OH, The Independent Playground with Tom & Rudy under the Specialty Show of the Year category.
:D
(you can listen to them on the i-net sunday & thursday nights @ www.cd101.com)
Why would people into the Indianapolis music scene be that bothered about voting for a station in Columbus?

I thought this thread was going to be a joke about 4 indy [sic] music lovers going into a bar or something.
Did I mention I like PBR?

Throw on a pair of highwaters, a wristband, aviator sunglasses and you will be well on your way to hipster. :D

Which is the amount of people who listen to the show.

Gee, I got all excited about this thread only to be let down. I wonder if hangthadj will have the same reaction.

It's not bad, but when you listen to WOXY or KEXP everyday, it's not 100% necessary to try and catch it.

Would it help out if I mentioned Margot and the Nuclear So & So's?

Four indie music lovers walk into an otherwise empty bar. One of them orders a beer and takes a seat. The others decide that the place is now too hip and leave.
"Can you believe our lame friend stayed there?" one says right after they get outside.
"I know. How embarassing. He probably still thinks Deerhoof is cool, too."
As long as Wolf Parade is, I'm still good.

It would, but then the title of the thread would have to be "8 Indy Music Makers."

If you didn't live in Hyde Park, I'd buy you a beer.
And I just got the Freewheelin' Mark Arm 7".

Cool. Where did you find it?
In honor of your recent purchase, I will now listen to something by the Thrown-Ups. Or perhaps Blood Circus.

Ebay. It was pretty cheap. I need a turntable, though. Fudge.

I would have loved to have been there, but alas, real life (i.e. work) required that I get a good night's sleep. What infuriates me about the Indy scene is that typically, the best shows are on weeknights when this old man just can't spare the z's to stay up late.

You know, it's only gonna get worse with the Patio now closed.
The big one on my January radar is Feist at Birdy's, which is an awful room, imo, but it's only $8.
And looking at the site, it's at 8:30! You still gonna be awake at that time? :)
