It's a fake page - as are most of his "friends". It's pretty obvious, but just in case you were fooled. . .

god bless you deRo
now, where do you get the good s**t?
if pros are doing it, one day
one day, marijuana will be legalized
i'm hoping that won't change the subject of this thread, but if it does:
alcohol has killed more people than marijuana
deaths caused by alcohol: 3 every hour, thats what the MADD woman told me in high school
deaths caused by weed: 0
also, marijuana became illegal b/c Dupont created a synthetic to compete with hemp, but they knew they couldn't compete for long since in some countries, hemp was a profit generating industry, so, they paid off henry anslinger in the newly formed drug administration to add marijuana as an illegal drug, and force the end of the hemp industry, he did so by created social/racial injustices that would relate to marijuana--black people smoke weed, go crazy and rape white women, mexicans cross the border, give out the bad drug, and watch our nation go down in flames--he was aided by many yellow journalism publications, and the classic 'reefer madness', on top of that a proffesor at tulane decided to see the effects of marijuana on rhesus monkeys, by intoxicating them w/ an equivalent of 5 blunts in 2 minutes (dumb-a**), and it caused severe brain damage in the monkeys, and its considered a gateway drug, although i'm not sure about the merit of that argument, usually the environmental factors that surround a person--family, school, friends--will cause someone to do other drugs
ok, i'll stop now

Basically, so what. I used to smoke a bit of the old Bob Hope in my younger days 'don't even do sidestream now' and I'm a perfectly normal, very fit 43 year old grandad now. So long as he doesn't over do it or do something stupid like driving under the influence it's O.K. by me.

Untrue.
Perhaps, but the basic point remains true. Alcohol is fundamentally toxic in a way that marijuana simply is not. I went to UC Santa Cruz, and if there was ever a college where ganja overdoses would occur it would there. The human overdose level of THC is so high that it is logistically impossible to accomplish. Alcohol, on the other hand, is so easy to overdose on that multiple overdose fatalities from binge drinking occur every year. The physical effects of marijuana are far more benign than alcohol, as well. Aside from lung damage and loss of short term memory, the long term effects of abuse are few compared to alcohol, which turns the liver to mush and kills brain cells by the thousands. If George Best had been a pothead rather than an alcoholic, he'd still be alive.

those people conveniently ignore the rising number of vehicular and workplace accidents that are caused not by alcohol, but by marijuana usage.
Source?

Did he ever stop? Segroves is a self-acknowledged expert on everything. Unfortunately, he rarely, if ever, is able to document any supporting evidence for his nonsense. I think he prefers being self-righteous to being right... ;)

I know people like to pretend that "most" marijuana users just like to get baked in their homes and don't hurt anyone, but those people conveniently ignore the rising number of vehicular and workplace accidents that are caused not by alcohol, but by marijuana usage.
Seriously, what world do you live in?
I just spent 10 mins looking up Mercury News and SF Chron articles about DUIs involving marijuana. None. And we smoke some serious weed out here.
Don't listen to those craptacular "TRUTH" lies.
So yes, if George Best had been a pot head, he probably would be alive, but he'd likely be suffering from what appears to be early onset Alzheimer's disease or the psychological/physiological problems that plague multiple concussion NFL players as well as a good shot at lung cancer.
Agreed about the assumed risk of lung cancer, but is there any iota of proof about Alzheimer's type symptoms or greater susceptibility to concussions? I mean besides from some agenda-driven subcorporations like TRUTH.

Facts...
Don't waste your breath. When confronted by facts, Segroves usually makes himself scarce.

it's stupid to compare weed and alcohol.
alcohol is legal, cheaper, and by far more accessible than marijuana.
