Now I know that they are meant for Soft ground but will wearing sg cleats on turf really make a difference? Any chance of becoming hurt?

Thanks,
Junger

It's simply prohibited, cause blades or metal studs make a great deal of damage to the turf.

I believe you can cause damage to your back by playing with sg boots on turf.

Oh, but I never tried anyway because where I play there's a huge fine and a team suspension from that field if a player gets caught with SG cleats lol. Just try it then, see how it goes.

Go ahead and try it, but you're going to highly increase your chances of injury. I've seen some nasty knee/leg injuries (ACLs, specifically) on people who've worn the wrong stud-type on turf.

you will break you leg or tear a tendon if you try it it might happen right way but give it a few weeks. plus you will break a stud off the boots.

i really wouldnt approve of it... and i dont see the point really when turfs are made for turf and SG for soft ground. Is it normal turf with lil sand bits and a green floor or is it an artificial grass turf like big clubs have for astro? if it is the second one i would go SG for sure. If you want my veiws on experience then i have seen Adidas predator manias FG exactly like these used on TF....

i was wondering the same thing, i play on artificial grass, the one that has little black rubber pellets and i think that you can use SGs on that kind of field, not on the carpet one

I wore my sample SG Pulses on field turf before...it really helped get a good grip and all, but you may be prone to injury because they are very grippy.

I would not recomend you using it on plastic grass. Same thing as in using it on turf, the chance of getting a nasty knee injury is high.

I wore SG Mania's on turf for a year and really liked them. They never caused me any problems. I may even say I liked them better than FG and SG's. Well, maybe not FG's. Anything is better than turfshoes though.

Thats why they call them 'TURF' shoes... (hint, hint). Also you have a great chance of getting the Metallic Studs caught in the turf itself.

I believe it's because when you wear SG on turf the shock absorbtion provided by your shoes is miserable. This can be compared with running in HG cleats on asphalt :D . The shockwaves, created every time your foot touches the ground, don't just die away in your leg - they go to your spine as well. If there's too much stress on your back you get a pain obviously.

One of my teammates played with pulses on turf, he ended up snapping part of one of the metal hell studs right off...he wasn't very happy... he still kept wearing them on turf after that incident though and told me that it was the best kind of shoe to wear on turf...not the brightest of the bunch lol
