Some might think this belongs in the Man City (R) thread, but I only thought it fair to highlight that his amazing run of 164 consecutive League apperances came to end.

I dont care if you hate Chelsea or not, this is an amazing record, not only for an outfield player, but for a midfielder as well.

Well done Frankie boy, you have earned a rest.

A great record. Any ideas how long he's likely to be out for?

I believe he was in the lineup but pulled out at last minute because of Illness so don't think it should keep him out of any more games for now!

Amazing record, and the performances during this run further enhances this record!!!

And you can see in his eyes that it was killing him to be watching and not playing.

I can see fear in those eyes. Fear of the 90 minutes of abuse he is going to get Monday. I'll bet you a fiver he bottles it with another sickie.

Yes, because if there's one player likely to feign sickness not to play, its Frank Lampard.

I'd have inserted the rolleyes symbol 500 times, but apparently I'm not allowed to do so.
