The Breakstone's ads were his best work.

I forgot he was Sam Breakstone. I'd have attitude too if I were pimping cream cheese for a living.

Must be an east-of-the-Mississippi thing. We don't have Dunkin Donuts out here (Winchell's used to be the prominent donut chain, now it's Krispy Kreme).

Dude looks familiar, but the only thing they listed that rang a bell to me was Marathon Man.

My wife's from RI, so she recognized him, though, and was saddened.

Indeed. The man is a RI icon. He could've run for Mayor of Providence and won in a landslide (well, in the years that Buddy Cianci was in jail, of course). :D

The only thing I know about him is Jon Lovitz does a perfect impression of him.

We had dunkin donuts and the commericals out in colorado when I was growing up, though I believe they've all closed in my old hometown. winchell's still thrives.

My favorite was when he dressed up as a lady and went to a rival donut shop, asking "Are these donuts fresh?" while covering his moustache with his index finger...classic...
