After the two blown calls against Liverpool in the CL and a blown call against Fulham on Monday do Chelsea get preferential treatment from the refs?

Hey look, it says your a newbie, no way!

We had a missed penalty call go against us yesterday as well. Liverpool "scored" against us last season in the Cl without actually doing.
Drogba got sent off against Barca last season, with 2 bad calls.

We have had just as many missed penalties work against us this season as for us, you probably wouldn't know this though because you lack the intelligence to realize it on your own, and you probably do not actually sit down and watch out matches, like most of our bitter/biased critics who need what ever excuse they can find to speak negatively about Chelsea.

Well at least they no longer have the same shirt sponsors as the refs...

Seriously, I wouldn't take any stock in the missed handball in the Fulham game. It seemed like every game yesterday had a missed handball. In fact, it amazes me how often obvious handballs are missed.

a blown call against Fulham on Monday
Are you referring to the Zat Knight handball that was missed, or the John Terry handball that was missed?

I don't understand how there can be preferential treatment.. well, unless if it's the Bundasliga :D..

First Arsenal, but now Chelsea? Ref sometimes make questionable calls.. that's just how it is..

About last year's CL goal.. yeah that was a bad call.. but do you think a PK wouldn't of been called if that goal didn't go in? I think a PK would've been called if there was no shot.. but that's all assumption now since it's over.

Yeah sure, over the course of 2-3 seasons you will find a hand full of calls for or against any team and could post a similar threat backed up with a few examples.

Maybe if you can come up with 10 obviously bad calls in the last match all for one side and could get universal agreement that all the calls were wrong. Then maybe you'd have a case. Until them, its just team bias.....

Chelsea get away with a bit. Particularily Terry, who has realized he will never get called for a handball, now always defends by blocking with his arms as much as anything.

ManU just cannot compete financially with the bribing anymore, I guess.

Maybe it's an FA thing. For some reason the clubs doing the best tend to get the best officiating 'luck'. Though it evens out usually. Like Arsenal often seem to get very favorable decisions, and then they have a few matches where they don't get the calls.

So Chelsea didn't pay of the linesman. That proves nothing.
From the view of the linesman, it looked in (Sky sports showed this).

Now, explain the 6 minutes of added time that occured in that match...

and you are right, EVERY TEAM has had missed penalties work for and against them, its a fact of football life.

I'm on Subside.co.uk right now, about to order a Chelsea home shirt with R.Styles on the back.

Maybe.

I have a universal sports theory that good teams seem to get the calls because when a bad call goes their way, they're more likely to capitalize. For example, Baros' goal. There were two plays that should have been called handball. But Baros' finish was very nice. A poor finisher would have missed the shot, and the whole play would be forgotten.

Yeah, Villa's not good this year, but you get the point. If a Sunderland striker is put through when he's offside, but the flag stays down, he might get caught from behind or otherwise botch the chance. So you forget the call. Henry or Rooney buries it.

You can't be serious. There was a 4 minute pitch invasion.

.

Aside from the fact it would have been a penalty and a red card otherwise?

Surely that was the lesser of 2 evils.

Well I know it makes me a minority, but I'd prefer the penalty and possible red card. "Points on the board" and all...

Well, watching Carragher just kick Diouf in the back and get away with it and then hack down Nolan for a clear penalty which isn't called means that Liverpool get easy refs, right?

Correct. You both do. Everyone hates Man Utd.
