why would anyone want such a game? Who would be supposed to care?

The only use such an 'event' would be would be to show people what an empty stadium looks like.

There is one at the football museum in Preston, but little attention is paid to it. You'd do well to find people who actually know who is in it.

...no all star game or skills competition, no one would give a ********. Firstly it works in the US as there are only a few professional teams and the Yanks are all about that sort of thing. In England there are 4 divisions there is always something to play for there is no time to add another meaningless game to the season.

Hell to put it in a simple way, we're perfectly happy with how are sport is thank you.

Beer vendors?

Beer vendors?
we have those, even though most catering staff at English stadiums are the mentally retarded on equal opportunties schemes.

Best beer vendors I've seen were those at Slavia Prague. When pretty Czech girls bring cheap (but good) beer to your seat then the quality of the match can quickly become nicely blurred.

OK, now how many people have ever been to an American Hall of Fame or seen an All-Star Game/Skills Competition
Also one more thing English Football could use, more games shown in the US (or at least I could use that)

Let's rename the Premiership. World Series anyone?

I can think of a few things English football could use:

A little gold trophy I heard they are handing out in July.

More players that are left footed and can play mid field and full back.

Oh and megatrons, say what you may, but it is always nice to see the goal if you were looking for those crisps you tucked away in the 5th minute when someone puts it in the back of the net.

And no one I've quizzed in the last few days knew of the hall of fame, though I kinda like halls of fame.

I wish American sports didn't have these. Why the ******** would I want to see how many step overs Cronaldo can do in a minute?

...get Fox Soccer Channel if you have cable and I believe Dish networks provides it as well, you get a game at 7:30am, 12pm, 3pm and 5pm on Saturday and a game on Sunday at 1pm and if there is a Monday night game that is shown live at 3pm and again at 8pm. Also some midweek games are shown live. I have to say that is one of the only things that keeps me sane living across the pond.

Whilst we are at it we can put really dodgy aging rock stars on at the newly created 1/4 time intervals to belt out the national anthem with a battallion of Challenger 2 tanks behind them.......oh and give everyone free glitter.

What English football really needs, is to send me a slew of tickets and put me up in a hotel for a few weeks. Other than that, it is fine the way it is.
