I need to say that the Quakes demise is a topic for any MLS fan or USA fan to weigh in on. Of course the Houston team will be losers. Without the Quakes fans to motivate them, they will undoubtedly fail. I'm more or less a joker but I do consider myself a supporter of MLS & USA even though my support doesn't translate into $ support. Being interested & caring is support. Right?
One might look at the Quakes demise as a personal blow to all BigSoccer posters as the Quakes board has been one of the best boards on here. I always read it after games & reply once in a while. Just need to say Quakes fans were right on just about everything including the Landon episode, aeg. Galexi etc.
My opinion for what its worth, is the Landon trashing on national live tv was a disgrace aeg did not foresee & could not live with. It was awesome - congratulations! Having corporations run teams is bad & its easy to see why.
Their "image" is more important than anything. & of course we have the "corporate payback" & more payback & more payback. Its never ending.
Then after Quakes beat the galaxy in home depot very few fans showed up for the playoff game that followed. Quakes had shown the LA fans how crappy their team could be.
All MLS fans need to boycott MLS until the Quakes return.

Soup? Houston smells like alot of things, but I'd never use soup to describe it. ;)
More like pollution and smog. :(

I'll tell you one thing. I predict the Quakes are going to go undefeated next season.

we haven't lost any teams, just about 25 years since our last championship. Nevermind, it made sense when I first posted it

Actually, you lost two teams, ironically to Northern California (specifically, Oakland): the Athletics baseball team (via Kansas City) and the Warriors NBA team!!!
