Teso, i don't want to get into an argument on Jose being overrated right now, since i'm in a festive spirit, but you are dead wrong. What he achieved as a manager so far, has been tremendous. To say he is overrated just b/c Chelsea spent a lot of money is idiotic at best. He knows the game better than most managers and he is still very very young. By the time his career is over, he will win everything, mark my words.

Paulo, Del Horno, Robben, Cech (although i can't remember if it was Ranieiri or not), maybe Dicky, Essien, SWP (also a maybe). Still, just b/c he already had most of the players, it's not about that, it's about what he did with them. Look at Lampard, Cole, Guddy, Terry. Who knows how those players would have developed unders someone else. It's how he has Chelsea playing as a team, and not a bunch of headless chickens running around, like they do at Bernabau.

I disagree. I don't know Raneiri was treated harshly at all. Many people were upset with the way it went down. Many (most) of the starting players on the team today were bought by Claudio. We have him to thank for Robben, Duff, Cole, Cech, Gallas, Lampard, Makelele, Bridge.

However, I do think that there was/is a feeling that Claudio was not the man to take us to the next level.
