ya, i have to go out to with my much younger gf and her mates... of course to a trendy bar... im sure it will be fun.. but i am not 22 anymore...
i'm going to a bar with some college friends. $85 for food, open bar (Guiness and Jameson for me), and champagne at midnight. Thank god it's not a trendy place and we are going to get there right at 8 to take advantage of the 5.5 hour open bar and to get a table for the night.
The thing that pisses me off are people who don't go to bars all the time are out in full force and they have no bar ettiquete.

booyah. new years is fun, however it is amateur night at the bars because everyone feels the need to go out.
For that reason we are having a party at our house this year. Hate dealing with the masses on NYE!!

We still don't know what we're doing for NYE. Ever since Phish stopped doing NYE shows we've been floundering around - pathetic I know. I'm thinking I'll just have some people over here.

ya lobster tail and steak dinner should be nice.. plus no well drinks... we have a limo to and from our hotel so no worries bout driving thank god!!
i know exactly where that is dan... you should have a great time there, no question! (although ive never been in). so live down near wrigleyville? nice man..

my neighborhood is technically North Center, although it's the far NW corner of Lakeview (at least that is how the realtors market it to get more $$). I'm right at the corner of Irving Park Rd, Lincoln Ave, and Damen Ave. My brother and I are going to get a condo in May. We are looking around our current apartment or near the Brown Line stop on Southport (which is where Mystic Celt is).

i think pacing myself on saturday nite is going to be key.. i am going to have that nice meal.. but i am expected to stay up and party with my group till 4 or 5 am..
that is going to ruin me.. i hate that i am like, 5 years older than the next oldest person in our party.
voddy and red bulls all nite it appears!!

I'll be at a small house in the woods in Vermont, with the kids tucked in and a fire going in the woods stove and a good book and a glass of scotch. Mellow in every way....

What movie were you watching? I thought it was a phenomenal film on so many levels. The amount of mileage Jackson can get out of just facial expressions and body language is just incredible. And the effects were amazing.

I just thought it was too long and drawn out. however there were some funny moments between King Kong and the girl.

I liked it.....but I thought he could've cut out about 25-30 minutes and still had an exciting film.
