I just bought a 2001 Mazda 626LX. Their stock stereo only has a CD player, since I have an ipod with a cassette adapter (tried the fm transmitter, hated it), I was wondering if there are cd with cassette players for my car (in dash of course). I hope not to spend more than 150$ on one. Thanks

I'm not an audiophile so I can't help you, but may I suggest finding a stereo with an auxiliary input. I have one on my car's stock system and have found it very convenient for plugging in an ipod and I'm sure it sounds better than a cassette adapter. You just have to buy a cable from radio shack that has a male headphone plug at each end.

I bought the iPod cigarette lighter attachment at Best Buy for $99 and it works great. It syncs up with any unused FM frequency in your area.

What brand FM attachment did you buy?

I have heard that the sony cd players are durable, I have never used them personally. My brother has used 2 of them in the past 7 years and has loved them. I would highly recommend Alpine, I picked up 1 @ best buy for like 150 and it makes everything sound so much better. Especially if you want to hook up an Ipod, they make adapters that allow simple connections. I believe you can get them on line at www.discountave.net. i got the alpine cde-9843, it plays mp3's and has a subwoofer volume control as well. Can't say enough good things about it. I mess around with car stereos quite a bit, so any questions you have feel free to ask.

I'm planing to buy the Sony CDX-GT200 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lJRxANFiIof/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=158GT200) using the AUX i want to get the Connects2USA MSC-02 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lJRxANFiIof/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=227550&id=detailed_info&i=634MSC02#Tab) .My question how does AUX work? Does it put up my Ipod wireless? any help will do
