I'm debating whether I should just play normal in this match or GFI and try to get the win. If my opponent plays TIE and I GFI it should be a close match, as our ratings will be fairly close. However, I would have to win my last two matches and have the 4th place team lose his last two in order to get out of the playoff zone, so I think I'm stuck. However, I'd like to get another win so my morale doesn't fall too much before the playoffs. My fitness is also at low right now, so GFI would drop that even more.
decisions, decisions.

My opponent's ratings have increased dramatically in the last few weeks. This match has me nervous because if I lose I am screwed.
Cannot afford to GFI as I may well face a qualifier in two weeks and need to keep my fitness at a normal level.

Bit lucky today. I actually lost my match, but the team level with me in second place also lost. So I should retain first on runrate. Waiting for the standings to update.

Update:
1. KC Googlies 13 11 0 2 44 26.63
2. Just not Cricket 13 11 0 2 44 21.89
Easy TIE win next week should see me clinch a qualifier. Phew.
Just not cricket conceded 10 runs in the last over to lose today. :)

I'm GFIing it just to see what happens.
End of Over 33: 160-3, runrate=4.85
Sewell 7-0-32-1
Spearitt* 35 (55 balls)
Bryant 18 (23 balls)
not that bad, but not that good. I think the only hope I have of winning this match is not losing any more wickets, hitting close to 275, and bowling the other team out quick!

drat!
36.5 3 Sewell to Bryant
One, Two, Three, Four runs taken according to the umpire, but hes corrected by the 3rd ump and theyre credited with 3. Good thing one of the umpires can count

I was able to TIE and win which essentially guarantees promotion.

End of Over 50: 294-6, runrate=5.88
Whitmore 10-0-52-4
Shackell* 21 (13 balls)
Wild 2 (2 balls)
I'll take it. It the first match between us I TIE'ed the match and he hit 295, so I'm hoping by playing GFI I can hold him under that!

GFI against Voodoo Child. I hit for 318-3 and just bolwed 3 wickets in the fifth over so things are looking good. A win guarantees that I will stay in D.II without a qualifier.

Won my match quite easily... finished the chase in the 16th over so that should up my Net RR up quite a bit... when the tables are made I should be up a spot or two in line for a qualy.

Dunfield* 44 (47 balls)
Barrowdale 41 (53 balls)
no way i can win, unless I bowl him out. the run rate is too high, once he gets to the last 10 overs where it's a slogfest he'll win for sure.

woohoo.
it means nothing in the standings because i'm stuck with a playoff match, but it's nice to get an away win to the number 3 team!
My fitness was at low and now it's probably at drained, but the team played well, seeing as I played GFI. Thomas Wild might turn into a beast once he gets his stamina up a little and his consis up as well. He's respectable right now and is getting 4 bowling nets, so i'm hoping he'll pop in that soon.

Ended up winning comfortably. Voodoo's chances at first are ended and 4th place is mine no matter what.
