Chelsea usually acts unrealistic in this game. They'd never go for someone like Ronaldo.

Liverpool is almost always seemingly rigged to win the season when I'm not managing in the EPL.

Finished the season with Villarreal. 106 points at the end of it, and I nabbed the Copa del Rey. I scored somewhere around 100+ goals in La Liga alone, and humiliated Barcelona 6-0 at the Nou Camp. Life is goooood.

top of the table with 10 games left, unbeaten as well!

in the 6th round of the FA Cup against Boro at Highbury. No big cup upsets to report, but Stoke did force a replay with Chelsea back at whatever their home ground is called. Oldham has been on a tear in teh FA Cup. knocking off 3 Prem teams.

in my game Everton were docked 9 points for going into administration, they were in 3rd place but fell to like 8th by losing the 9 points. I swooped in and bought Marcus Bent at a real cheap price for some more depth up front because Bergie is going to retire and I've offered him a contract as an assistant.

i beat rangers 5-0 at highbury in the first knockout round of the CL, however, they scored 5 goals at Ibrox in like 70 minutes to send the match into extra time and i won on penalties. weird stuff.

I've got United in the quaterfinals and Spuds in the FA Cup Semis.

I've won the last 8 matches scoring 31 and conceding two. :)

I'm playing an Attacking 4-3-3, with attacking mentality, much creative freedom, direct passing, quick tempo (max), width set to wide (Max), closing down often, little time wasting, defensive line pushed up and tackling to easy. I use Riquelme as a playmaker and counter-attack whenever possible.

won the treble with Arsenal.

got SWP and Marcus Bent both for very low prices because Citeh got relegated and Everton went into administration. If they hadn't been docked 9 points they would've finished 4th!

I've decided to take Notts Co to CL glory again. Just started and am now 1st in league two in February with a nice 16 point cushion. Funny thing happened in the transfer window. Koln picked up Kuyt for close to 9m. Pretty much that club's only purchase so far in the game. They had him exactly one day and then..."Kuyt broke his leg. Out for 9 months". Ouch.

Chelsea just bought berbatov and Ballack. Arsenal sold Gilberto and Cole and brought in a bunch of good players. Henry leads the Prem in goals. Arsenal are in 1st place with a 7 point lead over ManU. Chelsea got bounced out of the CL and into the UEFA Cup. Bolton imploded and are in the relegation zone. Big Sam was fired in Feb.

my CL group could not get any easier. Loko Plovdiv from Bulgaria, Banik Ostrava from the Czech Republic, and some team with just two letters, FH maybe, from Iceland.

Time to show how sad we all are. How long have your been playing your current game?

12 days, 10 hours, 0 minutes.
Addictedness rating: "I am now a Football Manager Expert."

Nonetheless, my game is falling apart. I finished 4th in the league last year, and now in October 2010 I lie 9th, can't score goals (though I don't give up many either). Before last year I'd never finished lower than 2nd (sound familiar?). I keep acquiring better players and haven't lost anybody important, though Henry has finally lost his starting position. I think this is the dreaded "AI scopes out your tactic" decline. I'm switching things up, but haven't found the solution yet.

Have any of you played the PSP version yet? or is it even out?

It's not out yet, but looks very promising and Marc Vaughan has some interesting plans for the future in terms of compatability with the PC version. Early and very unofficial reports point to a late March/early April release date. I'm definitely getting a PSP for this. I can't think of anything more beautiful than playing FM and Pro Evo on the move.

Bentley has been injured, supposed to be out 3 months, but it has been 4. Not sure why it doesn't say he is fit. I could use him as SWP tore his calf and is out for 3 months.

My last game was at 11 days +. However that is a bit misleading since I often play late at night and leave it running until the next morning when I turn it off. I bet my actual playing time wasn't more than a third of that. I just started a new Notts game but its already at something like 3 days for the same reason.

I started a new game over Christmas, at St. Albans in the Conference South. I moved on to Nothampton and I've just taken over at Mansfield with a remit of helping them avoid relegation from League 2.

I find the game much more fun starting at the bottom and earning your reputation in the league that way.

Absolutely. It's really unusual for me to start with a top team, and to stick with it this long. I've been planning eventually to resign and apply for a job with a L2 club (the lowest level I have active in this game) to see what it's like to start with no resources except my good reputation. Of course, the way my 6th season is going I may get the sack instead of leaving on my own terms!

From what others have posted so far it sounds like it's the old man with the kids and the career and the house to take care of that has the most time on his current game. Yikes!!! Come on, where are all the young slackers that have played into the 2020s?

I find the game much more fun starting at the bottom and earning your reputation in the league that way.I usually agree and start at the bottom level in most countries but in England I rarely play below League two (old 4th division). I like to stick with the club all the way up to European glory and I found that teams below league two have too many hardcoded problems (low rep, low number fans, stadium issues, finances screwed up, the conversion to pro) to take all the way to the CL. League two is still far away from the Prem so it's still a challenge but I find that I don't have to switch clubs to reach europe.

Have you ever taken a Conference north/south team to the CL? I've heard of people taking them to the Prem but can't say I remember anybody getting one into europe. The last guy I remember that said he did was found to have cheated. I'd love to see real proof of an original conference south team in the CL...without any cheating of course. That would deserve a http://bestsmileys.com/bowing/1.gif
