how much did u pay for the ticket? exactly same route as one i need.
My dad got me the plane tickets for Christmas and used his miles, it was 100,000 miles I believe. I'd advise you to get the plane tickets now, the price is only going to continue to skyrocket between now and June.

I second that! One day my flight was $824 and the next day it was $976. I booked it at $976 and now it's $1064!

I think the crew flying Icelandair needs to get a quick photo in Rekjavik (Keflavik Airport) before we catch our connection to Frankfurt. Hell, if there was more time between flights, I'd love to see if there's such a thing as Icelandic beer :)

How did you get a flight out on the 9th with Singapore? I guess the flight is already full -- hard to believe, this far in advance. Anyhow, I am flying out then next day, but we are coming back on the same flight. Will check back with Singapore periodically to see if I can get onto your flight as well. Would love to have that extra day to shake off any jet-lag before the Gelsenkirchen game.

Also, I've never seen a "saver" type award available for summer travel to Europe. As an example I just called United and they have "Standard" awards available but those are 80K miles per seat. Hardly seems worth it....

I'd say most people accrue their frequent flyer miles with a credit card tied to an airline miles program (ie: Delta SkyMiles). Others accrue mileage from actual flights flown.
As for low mileage seats available during the summer, that is peak vacation travel time and as such, there are a limited number of seats per plane available for low milage and business travellers tend to snatch them up months in advance.
