I have made an excel file for the WC 2006. You just need to enter the results and the program will do the rest. Feel free to download it.

the excel file is cool! But Group A is jacked up..
any field values has Costa Rico advancing (which won't happen) so it needs to be fixed..
cheers
(thanks! It's as cool page-- one I have been looking for since the draw)

I have checked my file and it does work perfectly. When you have finished to enter result you have to click on the blue button to update the table.
If anyone has troubble to download the file, please send me a mail on the address below and i will forward it. As soon as you have it, feel free to add this file on your website or blog. :)
But if you do it, It would be nice to have the link on this forum as I don't have a website to upload on it.

Suisse, if you would like I can post the file on some personal webspace. Just e-mail the file to http://members.aol.com/possum412/email.bmp and I'll put it up on the web.

Firstly when you open the file, when the security appears, you have to activate the macro. Then you need to go to tools=>options=>security=>macro's security=>and click on the average security. (your problem is probably due to the high level security.

Nifty little file and a bit fun to use. I tested the tie-breaking algorithm and it is still a little off. (Appears to use goal differential instead of head-to-head at times, but not always.)

Thank you for the work you put into this. I plugged in some arbitrary numbers for the game scores, but the calculations didn't come out right. In other words, the total points at the end of group play did not result in the top two teams being listed as the two moving to the next round. Wrong teams were listed in the "qualified" box.

You need to enable the macro firstly when you open the file. Then when you have finished to enter random results in the table you will need to update the table by pressing the blue icon with "update table" on it.
Try it then report if there is still bugs on it.
