Anybody here use Norton Internet Security? Does it prevent people from hacking into your computer if you're on broadband connection?

Yes, provided you have the firewall portion enabled. If you're that paranoid (and/or desperate), use Microsoft's internal firewall as well....

I have norton, it works great, I have so much crap on my computer and it would crash often, and norton's scans, (and clearing it out) it runs a lot faster.
the firewall is great as well.

What kind of PC do you have?

Same as post #6. I probably need to upgrade.

I am trying to rip a video from dailymotion.com. Does anyone know how I can do that?

I usually use keepvid, but it doesn't work on that site. Any other software out there I can use to grab the vids I want?

For everyone's information, my laptop STILL refuses to charge consistently, but the good news is it hasn't gotten any worse. (The problem was not the battery, not the charger). I'm waiting until the sucker breaks down to actually try to address the problem in the motherboard (which of course, would make it a multi-hundred dollar problem); it's still going pretty strong though!! Just wiggle the cord a bit . . .

How do you delete the cookies in IE7?

Is it not Tools-Internet Options-Privacy-Clear cookies?

I think for IE7 it's Tools-Internet Options-General-Browsing History-Delete.

Don't suppose anyone knows if the ESPN Radio stream is available outside to people outside the US?

Why not? I don't think there are any limitations.

Is their any way to make a SXGA Monitor connectable to consoles? PS2, Wii and the like? An adapter or something per chance?

I've never had a problem with the stream before, but it doesn't work now that I'm in Ireland. I've e-mailed the folks at ESPN Radio, but have yet to receive a response. I know the BBC controls their streams to people outside of the UK. I figured it might be the same thing with ESPN.

Which is quite frankly ridiculous because it limits the amount of United I can listen to on a regular basis.

I downloaded Norton Internet Security '07 and tried to install it, but it says I had a previous version of it and I need to uninstall it. I go to uninstall the old version and it says I can't because 'you need Supervisor access to uninstall this program'. I have no idea what the password is to log into Supervisor mode....anyone have any ideas on how to uninstall???

Download Avast from avast.com. It's free and better.

As for the password, it's probably blank. Most security passwords (McAfee and Norton) start out as a blank (just hit enter) and you can change them later. If you did change it, then I'm not sure how to deal with it.
