Anyone going to explain why the CONMEBOL president was on the telly 30 minutes before scheduled kick off (one hour before actual kick off.... well done, again CONMEBOL)... saying that he hoped Boca won....
Yeah, that's appropriate....
No wonder the world respects CONMEBOL so much......

It's because he enjoys the dollars Macri gives him...

can anyone explain why pato was not given the red card when he came 10 yards out of his box and slapped the ball away with his hands?
isn't a keeper handling the ball outside the box and automatic red card?

You have to be the last man to get a red card.. or a player using his hands to stop a goal is a red card.

Actually, a keeper touching the ball outside his box is a yellow, however, a foul or touching the ball with hand as a last resort to stopping an opposing player from scoring is a red.
If the ref saw that as simply a keeper touching outside his box that was a yellow, but it was clearly a last resort, similar to you putting hands to stop a goal, its a last resort, the Ref cheated. He even consulted his lineref, and argued with him. he knows what he saw.

As do EVERYONE that saw the offense.
STRAIGHT RED!
Carlos Amarilla, I hope you don't make the WC. We don't need another "Hand of God" helping Argentina.

Yeah, I sure hope he doesn't make it to the world cup. After all, he helped Mexico get that penalty kick that was questionable at best when Pumas didn't have a chance to get back in the game.
