For TV shows, recurring guest characters may be used (Lilith on Cheers), one time appearances will not (Joe Pantoliano on M*A*S*H). If you give a correct answer that's not the movie I'm thinking of, I'm not giving credit for it, but you can have another guess at the same clues.
