Luca Toni, he is a goal scoring machine, a great finisher, and rarely ever misses a chance.

Milan Baros

Baros will lead the group in "giving away posession after dribbling with his head down at the defense, completely unaware of where his teammates are, or if any are making an runs in support."

5 goals at the Euro 2004 tournament. All I am saying.

Edit: Also another 5 in WCQing.

You guys all seem to have quite the Toni hard-on. Care to explain why?

hmmmmm... y luca toni. i dont know maybe he got something like 15 goals in 16 games this season. that can be one. the season is half done and already 15 goals. he has 9 more goals to tie last years lucarelli's record of 24 and has another 16 games left or so. 15 goals midseason in SERIE A is a hell of a lot. thats why we are picking Luca Toni.

luca toni or jan koller

usa probably wont score against either the czechs or italy, and will go out early

landon donavan... lol. how can a player who couldnīt even get into the leverkeusen first team be the top scorer in such a tough group?

I picked Gilardino because I think Toni will be tightly marked in each match, thereby allowing some space to Gilardino.

Jan Koller is an obvious choice, but coming back from injury I think he will be a little slow. We shall see. If an American were top scorer then I would be pleasantly surprised. However, I tend to think our scoring will be more balanced.

Toni is used to it at Fiorentina, only now he has better service and more help.

Agreed. Cech and Keller are the two best keepers in the tourney. This will not be a high scoring group.
