I'm bored out of my mind at work so I thought I would post an all-time Championship Manager/Football Manager starting XI. I've played every version of it since CM01/02. I usually play as AS Roma/Arsenal/Malaga/Real Madrid/Norwich City and just about any national team that will sign me. I've actually signed all of these players, none of them are hearsay.

Ibrahim Said DF C/DM(02/03, I think, so-so stats but amazing performance)

Leon Andreasen DF C/DM(05/06, king of the midfield long shot)
Mauro Esposito AM LRC(04/05, i've never seen any player get season averages like his)
Riccardo Montolivo AM LC (02/03 onwards, legendary in every game since then)

Anatoli Todorov (02/03 and 03/04, best goalscorer I've ever seen in a FM game)

I second that. I spent most of my second semester in the 01/02 school year playing a 5-season game at my friend's house. He was Lazio and I was Roma. I won 4 leagues and 2 CL (and shitloads of minor silverware), coached the Italian NT and ended up playing with Figo as RB, Totti and Cassano in MF and 3 strikers up front (I actually managed to sign Raul, paid 64 million for the dude). My friend won squat :D

Haha, man now that I think about it Roma was so overrated in CM 01/02 and I hated playing against Roma while Capello was the coach:mad: Lost 2 CL's to him...

Apparently it isn't the complete demo, which SI will make available tomorrow.

I couldn't resist, so yeah I played it. It appears to be a little more difficult than last year's. Not being able to get as many coaches as you want, make the 5 stars for all training pretty much impossible (in the beginning)

Sergio Ramos is a wonderkid, as is Albiol from Valencia (already know which defensive pair I'm going to try to get with Madrid in the game :D )

It probably helps with the stats, so I got Shevchenko to tutor Llorente at Chelsea: appears that both players need to want this to happen before it does. Llorente scored in his next match, so apparently it doesn't hurt.

Loaning (young) players out is way more easier with affiliate clubs.

Still not sure how the scouting works, even coaches/asistant managers can scout this time. It's better to choose 2 nationalities for yourself, makes you more knowledgable with 2 countries' players instead of just 1.

The game is fast. I know this is also due to it being a demo and not the full bigger version, but it's fast. Loads fast, starts up fast. Wouldn't mind this being the case for the real game. When loading you get hints and tips texts to keep you busy....with the fast loads you couldn't even fully read them. :D

Asking players from your team to recommend a player apparently doesn't work at all. I asked Makelele to give me a good suggestion....and he came up with Ronaldo. :eek:

More Spanish wonderkids this time: Jesus Navas is also a wonderkid. Silva from Valencia isn't anymore though.

I've looked at Madrid's team which isn't fully featured yet, and I already saw that their youth have better stats than in the last game. Not spectacular (Javi Garcia wasn't in there yet, nor Soldado...they might be better this time) but the 3 u-16 players they showed are already better than what was there last year.

Something to keep an eye out when tutoring players, make sure they have the same personality. Just had a defender tutored by John Terry, and some days later they had problems with each other because they didn't connect. With other players getting affected because they didn't like this tension in the team. :(

Villa can be bought for 35 million (not sure if this was the case in the last game) probably less since that is his buyout.

Yea...I wish there was more sites to dl from, rapidshare is down and the torrent is downloading very slow. Most likely because noone has finished it yet and there is way too many leechers.
