Definitely a fan and plan to buy 8 season tickets immediately.
You have another fan right here. Me and at least 4 of my friends will be driving 4 1/2 hours from Baton Rouge to see a Houston MLS team, much better than driving to Dallas (8-9 hour drive), which we could only make 1 time per year. I plan to be attending 10 home games in the regular season, and all the playoffs.

I go to Baylor, but if I move back to Houston after graduation, I'd go to games.

I've been loosely following FCD for awhile, Houston it is now though. I'll be getting to a bunch of games, possibly season tickets.

I hate you all and your stupid ass team whatever the name ends up being.

what kind of potential does Houston have for a solid supporters club atmosphere?
Will it go the way of DC, Chicago, New England, and San Jose or the way of Colorado, Columbus, etc, etc...

you disagree that NE has a good supporters club atmosphere? It might not be the best in the league, but they carried the torch in the beginning of league and they still have very good numbers. They have very passionate fans, it doesn't help that they play in Gilette Stadium.

Time will only tell here...
I have been looking forward to a MLS team here since the league started..
I am not a regular here and the only soccer I watched before this was Team USA when they are televised..
How much differnt is this from the World Cup style of play?

The pace is slower, there are more bad passes, and there aren't to many players with amazing skill.
However, it is nice seeing players like Beasley and Bocanegra rise through the ranks. And it is always a plus seeing players from your team play for the USMNT (unless they miss a crucial match). Support the MLS because its America's (& soon to be Canada's) league, so that it can grow to be one of the top leagues in the world.
