Some of you may know me, some of you may not. Basically I am the person who built and owns 3rdDegree.net, the site about FCD Dallas.

Ever since Garber said "Houston is a question of when, not if," at a meeting here in Dallas several months ago, I have been working on the background on a website about the Houston team that would maintain the same level of coverage fans expect from 3rd Degree. http://www.3rddegree.net/

So to that end, in the next few days you should see http://www.southtexassoccer.com/ come on line. The name is not snazzy, but I was working on the elements without knowing if/when Houston would have a team or a name.

So if you aspire to be a journalist or maybe work as a writer in some other field and want to write about MLS… then perhaps we can talk about SouthTexasSoccer.com. Fell free to PM me with question, comments, or blow it out your…. Ah well, hopefully not the latter.

Either way, congrats to Houston. Welcome to MLS.

OT--I know. I know. I already b*ched about it. But. Yes. I understand. Houston belong to TSSA-South. Houston gets called South Texas....but...please...please...someone stop referring Htown as South Texas. You want to visit a real south Texas town? Come to McAllen or Brownsville.....Jeez...one more reason to hate Houston..... :D

OK...back on topic...looking forward to www.notsouthtexassoccer.com. :p

yeah I know. But it was the best I could come up with on short notice... AND that I was able to buy. I needed something generic.

If/when there is a name for the team we may go for something else. In the mean time this is it.

I have enough connections in Houston I figured I can run a fairly good site form Dallas. it wounldn't be as good as 3rd, but I bet I can get it close. If I can get s few solid people on the groud in Houston I can get it VERY close.

Today Texas! Tomorrow the world!

thought some of you would like to see what the site will look like, once the URL is pointed correctly.

FYI, I tried the URL today and it doesn't work yet; I can only get to the site by its IP address.

I know. There is a technical problem with the URL pointing. It's not my server so some times it can take some begging to get it straitened out.

I may changes the URl anyway if/when there is a team name to something more in line with the team.
