I just called US Soccer and spoke with Amy.
I asked her if applications that were sent to 312-808-1301 (the main USSF fax) instead of to 312-528-7049 (the official pre-sale fax) would be considered for tickets. After she commented on the fact that "we like to tattle on each other" :) she told me that "we know how the applications were received."
She didn't come right out and say it but she certainly implied that applications that were sent to 312-808-1301 are invalid.
So there. :p

***************. Everybody else we talked to over there said that they would be considered because they had so many problems in the first place with the faxes.

Amy called me back after I called (got her voicemail by coincedence since she was mentioned in another thread). I asked about the broken fax rumor, etc.
She was great. Very nice and explained the situation calmly and professionally which I 'm sure was hard considering how many calls she's taken about this whole thing.
So there's at least one professional at USSOCCER!

If there are a bunch of applications, I guess thats fine. But if there turn out to be only 1400 tickets requested, thats pretty lame that they would be invalid.

That's not what she told me ten minutes ago.
The only ********* around here are the ones who faxed their applications to 312-808-1301.

Good work, Dr. Watson.
Let's keep an eye on this story as it develops. :)
P.S. "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to MikeLastort2 again."

They just told you that so you wouldn't start screaming into the phone at them.

So what did she say about the "broken fax"? Did you get a gauge on how many applications were received? Tell me, tell me, tell me! (Channeling my 3 year old)

Ok sorry about the personal attacks nobody is an asshat. You can cut the tension with a knife with everyone in here the last few days. I first asked the receptionist and then she said that she would have to send me up to he higher ups spoke with Paul - I believe he said his name was, and he asked me who told me that so of course I said MikeLastort2 or Amy cant remember which one, and he said that as long as you got your email confirmation and had faxed it in it didn't matter. Who knows really were all just reaching for some glitter of hope.

Oh on this issue. I think it is wrong for the USSF to accept faxes to any other numbers but I hope we focus are anger about this whole botched process on the right targets not fellow fans even the cheating ba#$a%^#...ahem, I mean resourceful ones that found a way to get ahead in the line. ;)

Talked to the "infamous" Amy at US Soccer and she said that the Fedexes that arrived Tuesday morning are being documented tonight and tomorrow morning and we should be receiving confirmation emails by midday tomorrow.
She refused to make any sort of guess as to whether there would be tickets for those who Fedexed their requests.:(
My packet also got in at 9:43 a.m.
